Dillon has an engaging personality, shared his knowledge of the Kenai River of fish and ecosystem, patient, and persistent to get me on fish. Caught rainbows and Dolly Varden. Hooked and landed several fish and lost several. I used both a fly rod and spinning rod. The river and mountains are stunning.
We came later in the season (Mid September) and we caught fish stright away. Dylan came prepared with 2 types of reels specifically set up for different types of fish and what they are biting on currently. Spent a full day floating down the Kenai river catching fish both from the boat and off the shore. Rainbw Trout, Sockeye Salmon and Dollies were mainly what we had the privilege of catching. Dylan was knowledgeable, kind and outgoing. He was patient with one of our party that didn't have much fishing experience, so if you’re unfamiliar or uneasy, he is your guy. He pointed out landmarks, taught us about the rivers in Alaska and even knew all the spawning areas for each type of Salmon on the river. He is a native Alaskan and you can tell he loves his job. 100 million percent - recommend these captains and this company.
We booked a half day since we hadn’t fished for years. Ron and Dylan met us at the designated boat launch to confirm paperwork was in order. After that we had Dylan as our guide during our drift experience. Dylan made sure we were refreshed in our technique for a successful catch. He was helpful and patient as he guided us to a better catch. My husband I both caught many Rainbow and Dolly Varden trout as well as Sockeye salmon. Dylan and Ron were friendly, personable, funny, professional and really enjoyed fishing and helping others have the best fishing experience possible. I would absolutely recommend them and would do this again if we had an opportunity to visit Alaska again.
Best fishing trip ever! We caught four rainbow trout and one huge sockeye salmon. Dylan was an awesome guide—every spot he took us to had plenty of fish, and his explanations about the river, the fish, and the local area were really interesting. Drifting down the Kenai River was incredibly relaxing and beautiful. This is definitely an experience you have to try. Highly recommend Dylan and this tour!
Fabulous 35th Reunion for two Desert Storm Veterans and friends. Ron was a very professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and fun guide. He knows the Kenai and where the fish are. Caught rainbow and DV and watched the bald eagle swoop in and try to take our fish before it fell off! Thanks Ron for a great day on the water. Fair winds and following seas.
Rainbows, Dolly Varden and a silver - Dillon put us on the fish from the minute we got on the river until we hauled out. Fantastic day overall and we got a great appreciation for the Kenai.
