Half day trip with Captain Rick
Although Captain Rick was friendly and polite his customer service could use a little help. First when we got to the boat, the Captain didn’t say two words. Once we were fishing, I noticed the rod I was using had 30yds of line on it at best. It was lite tackle therefore, if I hooked anything it would have stripped the reel. I mentioned this to the Captain Rick, and he just laughed. Several of the reel combos were junk. Then the Captains brother showed up and Captain Rick bummed a cigarette, and his brother’s boat crashed into ours. This broke the GPS electric anchor on the front of the boat. So this caused used to have to Leave the reef and head in shore. While en route in shore we saw some Mackeral working the surface. Captain Rick was not very interested in getting his customers any fish. You would think he’d have poppers or diamond jigs. And he would try to keep you near the frenzy of fish? Nope!!! He had one old rusted box of terminal tackle. And he never offered any tackle alternatives. After wasting time doing nothing we went to fish the pilings under the bridge. This is the only place Captain Rick somewhat redeemed himself. He worked hard to keep us in position, but was still very hands off on any assistance. All in all not a bad guy, but if customer service is what your looking for... look elsewhere!!!
