Our captain was absolutely fantastic! He showed us a GREAT time out there on Saginaw Bay! The bite was frantic, and Captain Darrin worked super hard to keep the lines in the water. Reel Respect Charters are the way to go! I can’t imagine anyone trying harder than Darrin and Al to get you into fish at a time when they are few and far between. My brother and I went out with two of our kids and I couldn’t have asked for two guys that were more patient and encouraging to these two. To make a long story short these guys went above and beyond to ensure we had a day full of fun and excitement catching fish and growing the youths interest in fishing. We caught a lot of Walleyes despite the less than ideal conditions we faced. This experience is something that my daughter and I will talk about in years to came. We’re already talking about when our next trip will be. Thanks again Derrin and Al!! You guys are the best!!

If you want to have a good time, choose this charter. Captain Darrin will take care of you and will do what it takes to give you the best chance to catch fish. He has a nice boat equipped with what you need to find and catch the walleye. Our fishing trip was a full day and we left with about 20 pounds of boneless walleye fillets. 43 fish in total (3 were thrown back because of size), and constant action kept us on our feet. Darrin is a great mix of professional and fun. He has great respect for the water and sport but also can take and give a joke. Shout out to First mate Al. He did his part to make the trip fun. We will be booking again in the future, and also looking for opportunities to target other species. Several of my friends and myself are interested in trying other techniques also. I would like to see what Darrin could rig up for us. Thanks!

We had a tough day on the Bay. It was 40 degrees when we left the marina. We experienced some rough waiters and we couldn’t get a bite if we paid for one. However, Capt Darin was fantastic. He worked his butt off trying to get the fish to cooperate but he was fighting a stacked deck with the conditions. We had an amazing time despite the weather and noncooperative fish. I would definitely take a Charter with Cpt Darin when the weather and season improves.
