The conditions were windy, rough, and frustrating, but Charles endured, and we will be eating walleye at a handful of family dinners because of it. He was also exceptional at involving my teenagers in the process.

Half day on the water with captain Charles was great. We caught walleye, sheepshead, and white bass. Took our 4 and 6 year old out with my mom and had a blast. My husband learned how to set the lines and we all reeled in fish to keep (of course we had to throw back, too). It really was non stop reeling in lines and setting them for a couple hours straight. At one point we had about 5 different rods to bring in. My oldest could have been out there for another 2 hours. Couple that with great scenery of put-in-bay, Kelley’s, and cedar point… it was hard to beat being out on the water. Super patient with young kids and helping them. Highly recommend for adults or families!
We met the Captain and Rod at the dock and we set off at 6am and hit Lake Erie. Captain put us right where a few other Captains were fishing and we started hitting Walleye. After a while fishing slowed a little and the Captain heard some radio traffic. He made a few calls and he asked if we could stay a little longer. We packed up and headed to a different location where we started catching some nice Walleye and keeping busy. By the end of the day we had easily caught our limit counting all the ones that got off the hook.at the back of the boat. Fun day on the lake. This was early part of the season too. Hope to come back later when the fishing really kicks in.

I highly recommend Captain Charles! He took us right out to the honey hole and the poles hardly got a break. We limited out. He was very patient and helpful to my wife and son and we had an excellent family experience on his boat. His first mate Brandon was very helpful during the trip also. I can't wait to come back again soon.
Highly recommend, my dad has some health issues and Captain Slidmore did everything possible to accommodate our needs. We would book with him again without hesitation.
