Great trip with a special guest!
We had nonstop opportunities to chase our target species, and the action never really let up. Even better were the surprise fights—hooking into bullhead, largemouth, and a northern pike on light panfish gear made every moment exciting. Picked up some great techniques from Captain Dan, who was incredibly knowledgeable and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Already looking forward to the next trip.
- 5.0/5(Morning Fishing Trip)
A fun time on a slow fishing day.
Captain Nick is very knowledgeable of the Hudson River and works hard to boat some fish.

Excellent time!
1st time trying out a fishing charter and it was perfect all the way around! Took my wife and 13 yr old daughter for the 2 hour trip just to see if they'd enjoy it before attempting to do a 4 hour excursion. Everything from the ease of parking, the friendliness and knowledge from the crew...and the fact that we ALL caught fish made the whole thing worth it. We'll definitely be back to do a 4 hour charter next time! Thanks guys for giving us a memorable experience.

Great Time!
Everything was great from start to finish. We caught 16 fish and my teenage sons loved it, even my child who isn’t a big fan of fishing! The boat was very nice, comfortable, fully equipped, and the crew was great! Knowledgeable, kind, and fun! We had a great time!
ブルヘッド釣りについて
Bullhead are small, hard-fighting Catfish that thrive in ponds, lakes, and slow rivers. Anglers love Bullhead fishing because it is simple, steady, and great for kids and beginners. These fish bite year-round, taste good, and often feed after sunset when the water is calm.
Most crews target Bullhead with bottom fishing from shore or a small boat. A basic slip-sinker rig keeps bait near the bottom. Use a small hook, light sinker, and a short leader. Worms, cut bait, chicken liver, and prepared “stink bait” all work well. Spinning gear is ideal. A sensitive rod tip helps you feel their light taps before the hook set.
Expect relaxed action with quick bites once fish locate your bait. Typical Bullhead range from about 8 to 15 inches, so light tackle makes the fight fun. Night fishing can be very productive, so bring a headlamp. Handle fish with care and watch the sharp dorsal and pectoral spines. This trip suits families, first-time anglers, and anyone who enjoys simple, close-to-home fishing. Pack pliers, extra hooks, and a cooler with ice if you plan to keep fish.
Before your trip, check local rules. Make sure you have the right fishing license or permit. Review current seasons, harvest limits, and any special area rules. Regulations change by location, so confirm details with local authorities.
