Great family trip, even in windy conditions.

Capt. JD was very kind and patient captain who took my family of four, which included girls ages 6 and 8 out for a great full day. conditions werent conducive for an offshore day but we caught some spanish mackrel, trout, snook, and a suprise cobia! great boat with a bathroom. well maintained. book him!

    Excellent communication

Thanks for the great day out on the water. Your team had excellent communication and stayed in touch all the way through the booking process up to the day of Fishing. We caught some great fish and overall had a fun time. Highly recommended.

(6 Hour Trip – Offshore Reef & Wreck)

Good trip with a good captain

This was my gfs first trip and my 3rd we caught a lot of fish but only a couple were of legal limit nevertheless we had an amazing time we ended with 2lbs of red snapper and 2lbs of rainbow runner but we got to catch several other species of fish we appreciate the captain having patience with us as my gf was inexperienced with fishing and I for the first time was so nauseous I could barely stand we will definitely be back and hopefully less dolphin interference next time lol

    (5 Hr Bottom Fishing & Trolling - 1:00 PM)

    Awesome trip!!!

It was my son’s and nephews’ first time out offshore. The captain and crew made it an awesome experience for us all. Kept us on fish the whole time. Even being late in snapper season still managed to get our limits with a bonus big cobia and several other fish. Definitely looking forward to the next trip with Chase and his crew.

Cobia fishing is all about power, sight, and surprise. Cobia are prized game fish known for strong runs and stubborn fights. They often cruise near the surface or hang around wrecks, buoys, and channel markers. Anglers love them for the challenge, the visual strikes, and their excellent table quality.

You can target Cobia by sight casting, which means casting to fish you can see. They also respond well to bottom fishing near structure, slow trolling live baits, and working heavy jigs. Chumming, or spreading small pieces of bait to draw fish in, can help. Popular baits include live eels, crabs, and bait fish. Keep a pitch rod ready so you can cast fast when a fish appears.

Expect steady action and sudden excitement when a dark shape appears beside the boat. Cobia fight hard and may make long runs under the boat. This makes them fun for experienced anglers and doable for beginners with guidance. Bring polarized sunglasses to spot fish, sun protection, non-slip shoes, and a camera. Use strong but simple tackle, and listen to your captain on safe handling. If releasing fish, keep them in the water as much as possible and support their weight.

Before your trip, check local fishing regulations. Make sure you have the right fishing license or permit. Confirm current seasons, area rules, and harvest limits where you plan to fish. Regulations can change and may differ between nearby waters, so review the latest guidance from local authorities.
