Rod Bender Fishing Charters nodigt u uit om samen met schipper Anthony Menichino op visvakantie te gaan in de wateren van St Augustine, Florida. Hij verwelkomt graag kinderen en biedt praktische begeleiding aan degenen die minder ervaring hebben met de hobby.
Zijn boot is een 26' Cobia die wordt aangedreven door een tweeling 150 PK Yamaha-motoren. Dit vaartuig is een van de meest comfortabel varende boten die er zijn, zoals u al snel zult ontdekken. Bovendien is het uitgerust met radar, sonar, outriggers en alles wat u nodig heeft voor een productieve dag op het water.
Schipper Anthony brengt u naar de gebieden die de meeste actie opleveren. Dit zijn meestal wrakken, riffen en de natuurlijke bodem. Natuurlijk is de belangrijkste factor wat u tijdens uw trip wilt vangen.
Als u van plan bent om bij de kust te vissen, kunt u Amerikaanse Bot, Wijting, Redfish, Grijze Zeebaars en andere leuke soorten verwachten. In de diepere wateren van de open zee kunt u uitkijken naar verschillende soorten Snapper, Tandbaars, Horsmakreel, Koningsmakreel, Batjauwvis, Wahoo, Goudmakreel en wat Tonijn.
Schipper Anthony fileert graag uw vangst en verpakt deze met ijs. Het enige wat u mee hoeft te nemen zijn hoeden, zonnebrillen, zonnebrandcrème (maar geen spray zonnebrandcrème), samen met wat eten en drinken. Captain Anthony’s Awesome!
Kingfish and cobia trolling trip op May 10, 2026 • 2 volwassenen
It was our first time offshore and we’re truing to learn how to do it on our own boat up north. We asked Captain Anthony to teach us how to troll and he went through everything step by step, including the signs of activity on the water and the tackle. He answered every question in great detail and we came out feeling confident we know what to do when we get home. The fish we caught was just a bonus! His boat is also beautiful and comfortable even when we started hitting rough water. Overall awesome trip and I would recommend Captain Anthony to anyone!

Great Birthday present for my husband!
Half Day Trip – Inshore op April 4, 2026 • 2 volwassenen
My husband and I had a great time fishing with Capt. Anthony and Ethan. But first things first.
We are very grateful that they were willing and able to accommodate a last minute change in our schedule. That was much appreciated. The fishing trip was a lot of fun. Capt. Anthony and Ethan were gracious and extremely attentive. Not having fished in decades, they took the time to help me with the casts, took care of hooking the bait, and released the fish we caught from the hooks. Our time was spent 100% fishing rather than fussing around with the equipment, bait, and so forth. They knew where the fish would bite, so we changed locations a few times following the fish, with success. Ethan also provided interesting information about the historic city of St. Augustine, which I appreciated. At the end, the captain cleaned the fish and gave it to us in bags with ice. I do not have enough words to express our gratitude. They made this birthday easy, fun and memorable.

Best Day on the Water, Period.

If you're on the fence about booking with Rod Bender Fishing Charters, let me make the decision easy for you: just do it. Anthony and Ethan put together one of the best experiences I've had on the water. These guys are the real deal, friendly, hilarious, and incredibly knowledgeable. They clearly love what they do, and that energy is contagious from the moment you step on the boat.
We ended up catching nearly 20 fish, which speaks for itself. Whether you're a seasoned angler or just getting started, they know exactly how to put you on the fish and keep things exciting the whole time.
Honestly, I can't recommend this charter enough. We're already planning to come back for a full day offshore trip, and I cannot wait. Do yourself a favor and book these guys. You will not regret it. 10/10.

Captain Anthony is legit !!!

Captain Anthony is a seasoned fisherman with so much knowledge and experience. His boat is well equipment and very comfortable on the water.
We were in a tight timeframe to get some fishing in. My boys really wanted to get some saltwater fishing in before we left the area. I contacted Captain Anthony and he made it work for us. He also was assisting with fishing and every time he got one he handed the pole to the boys. We caught plenty for dinner and Ethan (first mate) made a few suggestions of places we could take them to cook for us. Which was a relief as I really didn’t want to go buy seasonings for our last nite. So all worked out we will definetly be back and go for a longer trip. Thanks again for working it all out and for the great time. Many great memories were made.

Great day on the water!!

We celebrated my husbands birthday on the water. Everything was awesome. Captain Anthony & Crew were amazing, making sure we the poles were ready, fresh bait within seconds of needing new bait. Very knowledgeable, and just cool guys all around.
We had the best day!!! We cant wait to go back!!
