Class Act Charters – Manistee 

my husband and I had an amazing time with Captain Mike and his first mate on Class Act Charter! Both were top-notch—super friendly, knowledgeable, and worked incredibly hard to make the experience exciting and educational. This was my first time salmon fishing, and I learned so much. Their determination really paid off—we ended up with 3 huge King Salmon, 2 Steelhead, and 1 Lake Trout! They truly went above and beyond to make sure our trip was successful. I would absolutely recommend Class Act Charter to anyone looking for a great day on the water, and we’ll definitely be booking again!

We left shore at 4:30 and although early it was totally worth it. We were 16 king salmon deep by 8:30. We maxed out and the action was fantastic. The Captain has a great sense of humor and the first mate is locked in the entire time on the lines and any and all movement. I have been out fishing in similar fashion at minimum 30 times and this is a strong duo plus a very well kept boat. If you want fish and a good time then I suggest you sign up for this boat. It’s a good combination of all things. Plus Manistee is a great little scenic town and bring a little portable grill to enjoy some of your catch at the public and well kept beach with great view.

We had a blast! My boys ages 8 and 12 had never caught a salmon before. Captain Mike explained what to do when we got a fish on and these boys landed 6 fish. The location was easy to find. They have a great boat with all the right gear. These guys live up to the name “Class Act”. We’d definitely fish them again. FYI - the last photo is at Chopo’s Northside Bar where they cooked our fish we caught with Captain Mike.

We were very pleased with Captain Mike, First mate Lou and all the equipment. Very friendly yet very professional all around. Highly recommend. We were out earlier in the season and didn’t have ideal conditions to get the fish biting but these guys worked their tails off and even stayed out later than planned to get us on the fish. Didn’t catch a ton early on in the bright sun but hit a few at sunset…would have ended up empty handed if it wasn’t for these guys! We will be back in prime season 100%!!!

Despite a strong north blow prior two days scattering fish and trailing swells yet this morning, Capt Mike & 1st Mate Lou put us on fish. Boxed 6, missed a couple...2 teenagers got a taste of their first big action king rips on big water. 2👍

Very friendly Captain and Mate. Had a great time with my 4 grandsons. Youngest 14 and oldest 18. They even kept us an hour longer to hope 2 of the boys would catch a fish. We got a double so all were very happy.

My first time so i have nothing to compare with, The captain and first mate were friendly the boat was nicely equipped they seemed knowledgeable about where and how to catch fish. First mate Lou was good with helping a novice. My son and three grandsons had a good experience all in all it was a success they caught 1 trout and 3 salmon and said they enjoyed the experience.

The captain and first mate was awesome very friendly and helpful. I will recommend this to my family and friends. Thanks for a great day of fishing.

We caught more fish in the first 4 hours , than I’ve caught on my last 4 salmon charters combined! Captain Mike and first mate Lou were a class act from the moment we arrived! We had 18 fish on and managed to land 14 !! Already booked my trip for next year! I’m a big fan ! 5 STAR OPERATION !!

We couldn't be happier with the experience they provided! First time on a charter for my kids and they so taught them everything they needed to know. I will definitely book again. And, to make it all better, they put us on the fish and we nailed it!
