Catherine Anne Sportfishing and Excursions nodigt u uit om de prachtige wateren van Southport te ervaren. Met vele uren op deze wateren heeft schipper Steele ze door en door leren kennen.

Blauwe Marlijn, Witte Marlijn, Zeilvis, Goudmakreel, Zwartvintonijn, Wahoo, Koningsmakreel, Gevlekte Koningsmakreel, Gag Tandbaars, Vermillion Snapper, Zwarte Zeebaars, Batjauwvis en meer bewonen deze wateren, afhankelijk van het seizoen. U kunt verwachten te gaan spinvissen, poppen, trollen, jiggen, bodemvissen, of misschien iets meer gespecialiseerds in dit gebied. Schipper Steele kan u ook vissen met vlieger laten zien.

Kinderen zijn absoluut welkom, dus neem gerust het hele gezin mee! Zwemvesten op kindermaat zijn beschikbaar. Klanten worden aangemoedigd om snacks en specifieke drankjes mee te nemen, de boot voorziet in water om u tijdens uw trip op krachten te houden!

Schipper Steele vaart op een 36' Revenge custom center console die tot 6 passagiers kan vervoeren. Deze geweldige boot is een van de grootste, snelste en best uitgeruste boten in ons gebied, wat resulteert in meer vistijd en comfort op het water. Er is een toilet aan boord voor uw gemak. Uw schipper voorziet in hengels en molens, samen met kunstaas. Levend aas is inbegrepen, maar het is goed om hierover te vragen zodat u weet of u het zelf moet vangen.

Bepaalde trips worden uitgevoerd met hulp van een eerste maat. De schipper en maat werken hard om uw trip te laten slagen, dus een fooi van 15-20% is gebruikelijk.

De charterboot regelt uw visvergunning, u hoeft alleen maar klaar te zijn voor een goede tijd! Sommige vissen hebben speciale regelgeving, inclusief wanneer u ze mag houden. Als u niet weet wat u kunt verwachten, vraag het de schipper. Het is altijd verstandig om een zonnebril, zonnebrandcrème (niet-spray) en flessenwater mee te nemen. Drankjes zijn voor u beschikbaar. Alcohol is in matige hoeveelheden toegestaan, maar probeer sterke drank en glazen flessen te vermijden.

Tough day on the pond.

6 Hour Trip – Offshore op May 6, 2026 • 4 volwassenen

The fish didn’t want to bite today.  We had to work for the fish that we brought home, but that’s fishing.  Captain Steele put us on-top of fish, but for whatever reason they weren’t interested.  Caught fish today that I’ve never caught (False Albicore and Needle fish) before.. Also we caught Red Snapper, Sea Bass, Red Vermillion Snapper and shark.

2hr PM Trip Perfect For Kids

2 Hour Trip – Kids Intro - 1:00 PM op June 13, 2025 • 5 volwassenen • 1 kind

Captain Steel was great. Super down to earth and knowledgeable about all think fiahing and not in the Southport area. I took my normally cautious 5 year old for a 2 hour afternoon trip. With very little description of us and specifically my sons fishing experience Captain Steel thoughtfully prepared a game plan for us so that we could do something a little different than we were used to and get a good taste of fishing in the ocean. We caught spanish mackerel, bluefish, and near the end tried some shark fishing and reeled in a 5ft Bull shark. Too large in fact to get into the boat but we got plenty of photos and sent him in his way. It was awsome. We will absolutely be back. Thanks Captain Steel.

We had a fantastic girls trip out on the water with Captain Steele! He knew exactly where to catch the fish and even put us right on top of the shark for our best chance to catch one! The 4 hour trip was perfect and the boat is beautiful! Outstanding outfit- will use Catherine Anne any time we’re in Southport! All details are taken care of, super easy, fun and exciting trip!!

Tricky day fishing but Cpt. Steele delivered

Capt. Steele was very communicative and an incredible guy! Conditions were tough offshore so we went inshore and after some break offs we train a few different spots until Capt. Steele put us in the bite. It wasn’t the best bite that day but Capt. Steele worked tirelessly and got us on the fish and sent us home with dinner. A fantastic boat and quality gear and great hospitality and expertise got us a great day and good memories. Steele even gave us a lunch recommendation that hit the spot!

Great 12 hour Gulfstream Trip

10 Hour Trip – Gulf Stream op September 7, 2025 • 4 volwassenen • 2 kinderen

The wahoo weren't cooperating but we caught a mess of mahi, blackfin and skipjacks. Captain Steele knows his stuff and was great with my 9 year-old. While other boats in the area were giving up on trolling and going bottom fishing, Captain Steele found the fish and figured out what they wanted. At one point, we had 5 or 6 fish on the line at the same time (chaos but in a good way); on several other passes we had at least 2 hooked up at once. Will definitely fish with Captain Steele next time we're in the area.
