Afhankelijk van het seizoen kunt u Blauwe Marlijn, Witte Marlijn, Zeilvis, Blauwvintonijn, Grootoogtonijn, Zwartvintonijn, Geelvintonijn, Goudmakreel, Wahoo en alles wat bijt vangen. Schipper Elliott streeft ernaar elke trip op uw specifieke wensen af te stemmen, dus laat hem weten waar u op uit bent!
Uw avontuur begint aan boord van de 'Roanoke', een 50-voet sportvisser gebouwd door de legendarische lokale botenbouwer en charterschip-schipper, Sheldon Midgette. Het schip heeft airconditioning, drie drilstoelen en alle benodigdheden van een echte vismachine. Er is een toilet aan boord voor uw gemak en het schip biedt plaats aan maximaal 6 passagiers.
Schipper Elliott heeft hengels en molens voor u, samen met kunstaas en aas. Het charterschip dekt uw visvergunning, dus het enige wat u hoeft te doen is klaar zijn voor een geweldige tijd! Houd er rekening mee dat u mogelijk sommige vissen moet vrijlaten vanwege regelgeving. Als u niet weet wat u kunt verwachten, vraag het dan aan de schipper.
Een eerste maat zal aanwezig zijn om ervoor te zorgen dat alles soepel verloopt. Een fooi van 20% is gebruikelijk om uw waardering voor hun harde werk te tonen.

We had a wonderful time onboard. Although we skunked out in the Cobia we still managed to catch 22 Spanish Mackerel and 2 Blue Fish. Our day started with a once in a lifetime experience traveling through the world famed Oregon Inlet. We were on fish as soon as we dropped the lines in the water and 1st Mate Wyatt was knowledgeable and walked is through what to look for when hooked and how to bring the fish aboard. He also gave us insight to the history of winter duck hunting in the area and some ecosystem challenges happening at the local beaches. This will be a treasured memory for the entire family. I’d highly recomend Captain Elliott, 1st mate Wyatt, and the Roanoke for any fishing charters, you won’t be disappointed.

Captain Elliott was professional, welcoming, and made the whole trip enjoyable. He made sure we were comfortable, explained everything clearly, and knew exactly where to take us for the best fishing opportunities. His knowledge of the area and dedication to making sure everyone had a great time really stood out. We ended up catching a great variety of fish — barracuda, bonita, mahi, tuna, and Spanish mackerel — which made the trip even more exciting. The boat was well kept, the gear was ready to go, and the entire experience felt organized and stress-free. Whether you’re an experienced angler or just looking for a fun day on the water, I would highly recommend booking with Roanoke Sportfishing. We initially had reserved for the day after we went but an approaching storm was going to prevent us from going. Captain Elliot was very kind and reached out to us ask if we would like to go early. We were stoked and made the trip. We left port, grabbed a bunch of baitfish and headed off to find our cache of fish. Roanoake sports fishing did not disappoint! Within two minutes of reaching our fishing grounds we were slaying 20 lb amberjacks which put up a great fight. We filled our quota and trolled for awhile on the way back to wanchese catching false albacore. Needless to say the boys and I had a wonderful time and recommend Captain Elliot’s tower trip. 10/10!!!
Did the 6hr tower trip which was great. caught a bunch of Amberjacks which were a lot of fun to get into the boat. Then trolled for Mahi and caught a bunch if them too. Everyone had fun and I would highly recommend!
6 of us headed out on 8/11 after catching some live bait in the harbor. 1 hr run to the navy tower 25 miles offshore put us on some nice 30lbs amberjack which was a lot of fun for everyone. Trolled for dolphin and bigger creatures for 45 mins at the end. Weather was nice and the boat more than capable. Capt and crew were attentive. A nice combo trip for someone wanting more than inshore fishing but not wanting to do a 12 hr full offshore trolling trip.
