Er zwemt een vis met jouw naam erop in Manistee en Lentner Rip Charters helpt je om hem te vangen! Met vele uren ervaring op deze wateren zijn schippers Grant en Joel klaar om je op vis te zetten. De charter is een familiebedrijf met 30 jaar ervaring.

Deze wateren zijn de thuisbasis van Regenboogforel (Steelhead), Chinook Zalm, Amerikaanse Meerforel, Coho Zalm, Forel en meer met een beetje geluk. Alle vangsten worden voor je schoongemaakt, gefileerd en verpakt.

Als je met het gezin reist, zul je blij zijn te horen dat kinderen welkom zijn aan boord! Vraag zeker of er zwemvesten op kindermaat beschikbaar zijn, anders moet je je eigen zwemvesten meenemen. Snacks zijn toegestaan aan boord — neem je favorieten mee zodat iedereen blij en energiek blijft!

Je trip begint aan boord van een 27' boot in Westcoast-stijl met een capaciteit voor 5 passagiers. De boot is uitgerust met downriggers en alles wat je nodig hebt voor een productieve dag op het water. Er is een toilet aan boord voor je gemak. Bovendien is dit vaartuig rolstoeltoegankelijk. Lentner Rip Charters voorziet in alle benodigde uitrusting voor je viservaring.

Je krijgt hulp van een eerste maat om je op vis te zetten. Maats werken hard om je trip te laten slagen, dus een fooi van 10–20% is gebruikelijk.

Je moet voor de trip een Michigan all-species visvergunning kopen. Deze informatie is meestal online beschikbaar, of je kunt het aan de schipper vragen.

Je kunt niets fout doen als je zonnebrandcrème (niet-spray), flessenwater en een zonnebril meeneemt. Als je andere drankjes wilt meenemen, vraag het gerust. Alcohol is in matige hoeveelheden toegestaan, maar probeer sterke drank en glazen flessen te vermijden.

Great Trip for a Family

I'm always nervous when spending this amount of money and doing something kind of new with the kids.  Those nerves were almost gone immediately after I made my reservation as Captain Grant reached out within minutes.  We confirmed the plan and made a back up plan in case it wasn't safe to go out when we booked.

The trip itself was great.  Captain Josh knew how to find the fish and the first mate, Emma, was a pro at getting the lines out.  It was a bit choppy and we have a kid and an adult not feel well and they were kind enough to take us back in, drop them off, and then take two of us back out.  Emma even made a dramamine run for us during the break.  A lot of captains wouldn't do this due to the fuel costs and effort.  We didn't have to cut our trip short nor keep two sick people on the boat.  

We lost a few big fish, but caught five fish in total.  The crew seemed disappointed (we added another Captain, Scott), but they don't call it catching.  It was a beautiful night and a great time.

The boat easily fits 6, but it is definitely a fishing boat.  So, if you are looking for a pontoon boat type of seating area, this doesn't quite have it.  But, we booked a fishing charter, not a lake cruise, so it worked fine for us.

The crew was great with my family, we caught fish, had good conversation, and spent a lovely 6 hours on Lake Michigan.  I couldn't have been more pleased and recommend this charter.

My family of 6, including 4 children ages 11, 9, 7, and 6 had the fortune to spend a day with Captain Grant and First Mate Emma and could not have been happier with the experience.   A clean, comfortable and well organized boat waited for us at the dock; top notch equipment was used and most importantly, the captain and first mate could not have been better. What could have been a difficult experience given the number of us and ages of the children turned into a wonderfully positive outcome.  Their friendly demeanor, patience, and expertise made the day a memory we will never forget.  The fact that we caught 15 fish in a half day trip was simply icing on the cake.  I would 10/10 recommend this charter to anglers of all ages and experience levels.
