Als je op zoek bent naar een onvergetelijke dag, welkom bij Hope Floats Adventures & Charters. Je gids voor de dag is Captain 'H', waardoor je kunt profiteren van jarenlange viservaring.

Afhankelijk van het seizoen kun je misschien Trommelvis, Amerikaanse Bot, Koningsmakreel, Pompano Horsmakreel, Redfish, Haai, Schaapskopbrasem, Grijze Zeebaars, Spaanse Makreel, Gevlekte Ombervis, Tarpon, Wijting en nog veel meer vangen.

Je vangt je vangst door te spinvissen, poppen, bodemvissen, of misschien iets meer gespecialiseerds in dit gebied. Kapitein Hector biedt ook vliegvissen aan, maar je moet mogelijk je eigen vliegvisuitrusting meenemen.

Als je met het gezin reist, zul je blij zijn te weten dat kinderen welkom zijn aan boord! Vraag zeker of er zwemvesten op kindermaat beschikbaar zijn, anders moet je je eigen zwemvesten meenemen. Snacks zijn toegestaan aan boord — neem je favorieten mee om hun energie op peil te houden!

Je vismachine voor de dag is een 19' Action Craft Coastal Bay center console met capaciteit voor 6 passagiers. Het heeft alle benodigdheden. Bovendien is deze jachthaven rolstoeltoegankelijk. Je vindt hengels, molens en materiaal die op je wachten. Levend aas is inbegrepen indien beschikbaar, maar het is goed om te vragen zodat je weet of je het zelf moet vangen.

Sommige charters hebben een eerste maat aan boord om je trip soepel te laten verlopen.

Je hoeft geen visvergunning te kopen, dus je kunt meteen komen en zonder gedoe aan boord gaan! Sommige vissen hebben speciale regelgeving, inclusief wanneer je ze mag houden. Vraag het gewoon en je schipper kan je meer vertellen.

Het wordt aanbevolen om een zonnebril en zonnebrandcrème (niet-spray) mee te nemen. Er zal wat ijs en water beschikbaar zijn, maar laat de schipper weten of je je eigen drankjes wilt meenemen. Alcohol is toegestaan met mate, vermijd alleen glazen flessen. Er worden lichte snacks verstrekt op trips van 5 uur!

We werken hard om ervoor te zorgen dat je de BESTE tijd op het water hebt! Als we ons werk goed hebben gedaan en je aan het glimlachen hebben gemaakt, voel je vrij om een fooi te geven om je waardering te tonen!

Overall Good Experience

Capt Hector was great…he went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. He provided snacks, water, and was very professional and knowledgeable. I rated the overall experience as “good” only because weather was windy with some rain which made casting in some areas a bit challenging. Capt Hector knows the area well and put us on quality spots, but unfortunately the fish were not biting great today…maybe due to the weather. I don’t fault his efforts at all and on any other day the fishing may have been completely different. I would definitely use his services again and recommend him to anyone wanting a fun day on the water with an experienced guide!

From Boat to Plate: Unforgettable Fishing Experience

Did this charter with Captain Hector for a bachelor party and it was an absolute blast. I knew we’d have fun, but I honestly didn’t expect it to be such a premium 5 star experience.

Hector is the man! Fun, super knowledgeable, and just an all-around awesome guy. He made sure everyone was having a great time the whole trip.

We caught around 10 fish and somehow everyone in our group caught at least one, even the beginners. Hector filleted our fish right there and then dropped us off directly at Aunt Kate’s, where they cooked our catches. Eating our fresh catches was so cool—and it tasted incredible.

All-around amazing day on the water. I’m already counting the days until I can do this again. Can’t recommend Captain Hector enough for beginners or pros.

What a great time!

Captain H was great! Super helpful and accommodating. The conditions were not ideal but he still managed to get us on some fish! it was my first time fishing in saltwater and we got a handful of different species. He filleted a black drum for me and gave me a great easy to make recipe. Delicious! This was definitely a highlight of my vacation and I can’t wait to come back aboard Captain H’s boat next time I’m down here!

Captain was amazing!

I have four children aging 4 to 12 all wanting to do different things, including fishing and sightseeing. The weather was slightly chilly and rainy on the day that we went out, but the captain made sure that we were all comfortable. The captain had snacks and drinks for all the kids and my son even caught a stingray! He went above and beyond to make sure the kids were comfortable and had a great time! He was very easy-going and accommodating! Can’t wait to go back out with him on a sunny/warmer day. Definitely recommend for a family outing!! Recommend without hesitation!!

We had an absolutely amazing time with Hope Floats Adventures & Charters in St. Augustine, FL on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. This inshore sea fishing trip was a highlight of our visit—especially for my father, who was experiencing both Florida and saltwater fishing for the first time.

Captain Hector and his First Mate, Rev, were outstanding. They were not only friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly welcoming, but also patient and accommodating throughout the entire trip. From start to finish, they made sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves.

The boat was spacious and clean, more than enough room for the crew and the three of us. We were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary ice water and snacks—a thoughtful touch that made the trip even more enjoyable under the Florida sun.

We caught around 30 fish, representing about 10 different species, which kept the excitement going the entire time. The experience was both fun and educational, and it was clear that Captain Hector and Rev love what they do.

We’re incredibly grateful for the hospitality and effort they put into making the trip so special. If you're looking for a fun, relaxing, and rewarding fishing adventure, I highly recommend Hope Floats Adventures & Charters. I know I’ll be booking with them again the next time I'm back in St. Augustine, Florida.
