Het vissen in de zoutwaterrivieren en getijdengeulen in de omgeving van Savannah gedurende bijna 40 jaar heeft hem een schat aan kennis opgeleverd voor het vinden van de vangst van de dag.
Afhankelijk van het seizoen kun je Schaapskopbrasem, Gevlekte Ombervis, Redfish, Trommelvis of Amerikaanse Bot vangen. Op de dag van je trip ga je waarschijnlijk licht materiaal gebruiken om met drijvers te driftvissen of de bodem af te tikken voor hongerige vissen.
Ben je een familieavontuur aan het plannen? Kinderen zijn van harte welkom! Zwemvesten op kindermaat zijn aanwezig. Snacks zijn toegestaan aan boord — neem je favorieten mee!
Je gaat vissen vanaf een 22' Sea Fox baaivaartuig met ruimte voor 4 passagiers. Het is uitgerust met alle benodigdheden. Je schipper zorgt voor hengels en molens, evenals kunstaas. Levend aas is vaak de beste aanpak en is inbegrepen bij je boeking.
Je hoeft geen visvergunning te kopen, dus het enige wat je hoeft te doen is uitkijken naar je trip! Sommige vissen hebben speciale regelgeving, maar je schipper helpt je deze te volgen tijdens het vissen.
Het wordt aanbevolen om een hoed, zonnebril, flessenwater en zonnebrandcrème (geen spray) mee te nemen. Als je andere drankjes wilt meenemen, vraag het gerust. Alcohol is toegestaan in matige hoeveelheden, zolang je sterke drank en glazen flessen vermijdt.

He provided my family a rememberable experience to cherish for a lifetime. I would strongly recommend his services to my friends without any reservation. A couple got away…but that’s part of a fish story! Captain Jesse was amazing with information, locations to go to, great sense of humor and just overall First Class experience! 6 uur durende trip op juli 21, 2026 • 2 volwassenenme and my wife had a great trip with Captain Carter. we were able to catch every species of fish we intended to plus a few others. we targeted Flounder and Speckled Trout but the windy condition held us up some. we managed to get a few sheepheads along with some nice whiting to make up for the wind. we had a great time and i would recommend Even Keel to anyone interested in a great laid back trip with an experienced Captain!

6 uur durende trip op juli 20, 20264 of us left in the morning at 7am. Started at low tide catching over 20 whitefish and 3 small sharks and one about 3 and a half foot shark. Moved to next spot and landed one ladyfish, a hammerhead and more whitefish and 3 sea trout. Moving on to our final spot hit 3 reds, 2 trout 6 flounder and snapped off a large??? Under the boat. Think it was a good size red or shark. What a trip.

While on this charter we caught many fish and different species.We all had an awesome time and didn’t want the trip to end. We are looking forward to scheduling next year with Even keel fishing for years to come. Captain Jesse was awesome!

He was very kind and helpful for our fishing trip. The weather was bit cold, but my boy and I had so much fun catching sea trouts and red fish. Because I know this guy and I felt like he could put my on fish I took a chance on the newest Captain in my circle of friends and boy did that work out! Jesse had everything I needed to tear it up while vacationing in Savannah. We got lucky and had good weather, good bites and lots of fun catching up. I’d never caught sheepshead and said as much…so he showed me the way. We tore up those little arm-wrestlers and caught plenty of other fish before and after the sheep show. Can’t recommend him enough. Book with confidence. To be fair, I’ve known him for more than 30 years but I’m certain he’d make a strangers fishing trip just as memorable.
