Gevlekte Ombervis, Redfish, Geelstaart, Mutton Snapper, Binnensnoek, Tarpon, Gratenvis, Permit, Citroenhaai en meer zijn mogelijk als je op het juiste moment van het jaar komt. Voor deze soorten ga je waarschijnlijk spinvissen met licht materiaal.

Gezinnen die er een dagje uit van maken, zullen blij zijn te horen dat kinderen welkom zijn aan boord! Vraag zeker of er zwemvesten op kindermaat beschikbaar zijn, anders moet je je eigen meenemen. Vergeet ook niet om snacks mee te nemen om vermoeidheid tijdens de trip te voorkomen!

Kapitein Travis verwelkomt je aan boord van een 24' Shallow Sport flats boot met ruimte voor 5 passagiers. Het heeft alle benodigdheden. Je vindt hengels, molens en materiaal klaarliggen, samen met kunstaas. Levend aas is beschikbaar, maar het is goed om hierover te vragen zodat je weet of je het zelf moet vangen.

Je hoeft geen visvergunning te kopen, dus het enige wat je hoeft te doen is klaar zijn voor een goede tijd! Sommige vissen hebben speciale regelgeving, inclusief wanneer je ze mag houden. Je schipper zal je helpen de regelgeving te volgen terwijl je vist.

Het enige wat je mee hoeft te nemen is een zonnebril en een goede instelling. Water is voor je beschikbaar. Alcohol is toegestaan in matige hoeveelheden, zorg er alleen voor dat je sterke drank en glazen flessen vermijdt, want GEEN GLAS is toegestaan aan boord.

Everglades Light-Tackle Experience

Full Day Trip – Backcountry op January 22, 2026 • 2 volwassenen

Captain Travis provides an absolutely amazing light-tackle fishing experience. From the start, he’s extremely responsive and takes the time to ask what you want to do before the trip. He truly tailors the day around your goals and skill level.

The Everglades is an absolute playground, with tons of light-tackle species available year-round. His boat, Shallow Water Sport, is a fishing machine—cruising around 35 mph in as little as 6 inches of water. Honestly, the ride through Everglades National Park alone was worth the cost of the trip, even if we never touched a rod.

The boat is very roomy with a stable hull, allowing multiple people to fish comfortably at the same time. Captain Travis genuinely enjoys putting his customers on fish, runs hard when it counts, and isn’t afraid to try new techniques or locations to make the day successful. Most importantly, he teaches along the way—sharing the techniques and styles that have worked for him. Unless your a seasoned very you will leave a better angler than when you arrived.

If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, passionate captain who delivers a top-tier Everglades fishing experience, you won’t be disappointed. 🎣

First Redfish, Shark Catch & an Unforgettable Day with Captain Travis

Half Day Trip – Backcountry (AM) op December 24, 2025 • 2 volwassenen

We had an absolutely incredible time fishing with Captain Travis in the backcountry off Islamorada. This trip was beyond anything we expected.
I caught my first redfish, which we cooked for Christmas Eve, along with seven mangrove snapper—all amazing fish. We also caught some jackfish, which Captain Travis helped us use to hook a shark, and that experience was unforgettable.
Captain Travis truly went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. He is incredibly down-to-earth, knowledgeable, and more than willing to accommodate. From start to finish, he made us feel safe, confident, and comfortable, and it was clear we were in excellent hands the entire trip.
My fiancé and I highly recommend Captain Travis to anyone looking for an authentic, exciting, and memorable fishing experience in the Keys.

Captain Travis provided us with an unforgettable fishing experience! We had a great day in the Everglades backcountry and were busy catching fish all day. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to catch all the inshore species and have a great time doing it.
