    (3 hour Night Fishing)

    Great fishing with Captain Tom!!

Our family of 4 had an awesome sunset fishing trip with Captain Tom! We caught mangrove snapper, a nurse shark, a lemon shark and a few Tarpon!! Tom worked hard but made it look easy to get us a great fishing experience. Highly recommend TNT Charters!

Nurse Shark fishing is a great way to meet one of the ocean’s most recognizable Sharks. Anglers target Nurse Sharks for their steady power, close-to-shore habits, and exciting tug-of-war fights. They are common around reefs, wrecks, channels, and flats, which makes trips short, simple, and fun for first-timers and families.

Most crews use bottom fishing with cut bait or live bait. Chumming can draw Sharks into the slick. Stout rods, abrasion-resistant leaders, and circle hooks help you hook up and land fish safely. Guides often fish around structure and sandy pockets where Nurse Sharks rest and feed.

Expect a strong, dogged battle rather than long surface runs. These Sharks pull hard and hug the bottom, so plan on patient lifting and winding. This is a hands-on experience that suits beginners, kids, and anyone who wants steady action. Wear sun protection, bring a hat and polarized glasses, and listen closely to the crew’s handling tips. Many trips focus on careful catch-and-release, keeping the Shark in the water for a quick photo before a healthy release.

Regulations for Sharks change by location. Before your trip, check local rules for licenses or permits, open seasons, and harvest restrictions. Some areas require circle hooks, specific gear, and safe handling practices. When in doubt, ask your captain about current rules and best release methods.
