REDFISH BLITZ!

It was a short 4 hour Catch and Release Excursion aboard Blue Cyclone. I picked up Paccqi at the Frienship Fountain Public Dock right in the Heart of Dowtown Jax. We were challenged with a strong Northeast Wind. At least the Downtown Sky Scrapers offered us a bit of shelter. Paccqi quickly landed 2 Trophy Class Bull Redfish and finished the trip with a nice slot size redfish. I have been sponsored by YUM Lures for over 20 years. All 3 of Paccqi's fish were caught on Artificial YUM Soft Plastics. These quality fish should continue to lurk through October.

Jacksonville Giants!

The Bite is On, hence I am back on the water looking for 1 or 2 anglers who are looking to experience a SUBPERB Day of Fishing on the St. Johns River. Over the holiday weekend Bull Redfish and Black Drum fishing was OUTSTANDING aboard Blue Cyclone. The depicted fish were taken on Artificial Lure's but I tend to fish with both lures and natural baits. I'm expecting to tangle with plenty of Spotted Seatrout, Flounder, Tarpon and more in the upcoming weeks. Traditionally this Great Bite on the St. Johns River continues through October. I'm looking forward to sharing 25 years of Inshore Charter Fishing Experience with you in my Native Waters of Jacksonville, Florida.

Spring fishing in is in full swing, and downtown is heating up. Big bull reds are starting to show up around the bridges and deeper structure, while slot redfish are cruising the shallows for those looking to bring dinner home. Speckled sea trout have been consistent on the right tides, and flounder are beginning to stack up along drop-offs and creek mouths. As the water warms, live bait and light tackle have been the ticket for steady action and unforgettable days on the water. - Captain Austin

Downtown Jacksonville is absolutely showing out right now. The oversized redfish have pushed into the river in a big way, and it’s been drag-screaming chaos on light tackle. These bulls are cruising deep edges, docks, and current seams—eating live bait like they’ve got something to prove. If you’re looking for a fight that’ll make your arms question your life choices, now’s the time. Always Hookin Fishing Charters– 31' Contender

We got 4 hour Inshore to avoid risk of choppy waters and long drive time to fishing spots. Also had to get back home to the kids by noon. Perfect. Easy. Relaxing. Just fishing and chatting. Only about 20 minutes of drive time total. Pretty scenery. Lost in the sloughs.

Captain recommended Dramamine the night before and morning of trip as it was gonna be a little rough. Great tip! Although we didn't need it a bit of variety of clothing depending on weather is wise.

There wasn't a spot we hit where we didn't pull in some keepers and have a rod bender too. The weather made for a perfect day of fishing out of Mayport.
