  We had an outstanding experience with Sporting Wood Charters! Captain Joe was professional, knowledgeable, and worked hard to make sure everyone had a great time on the water. His experience and friendly attitude made the trip enjoyable from start to finish. First Mate Taylor was equally impressive—helpful, attentive, and always ready to assist. He kept everything running smoothly and made sure we were comfortable throughout the trip. The boat was well-maintained, the fishing was great, and the entire crew went above and beyond to create a memorable experience.   The experience with this captain and crew was awesome. I honestly said I would be happy if my group of friends caught 1 fish each. But, we ended up catching 2-3 fish each! We caught a total of about 20 fish in an hour! The captain knew the 'moneyhole' spot for rockfish. And the weather conditions were great too; it wasn't too hot, it was cloudy, and it was supposed to rain but didn't. Really happy with this experience and would definitely recommend this charter boat!

  We had a blast today out on boat and caught a lot of Rockfish. Some were too big for us to take back but we had plenty of fish to take home. Joe and Taylor were very good at locating where the fish are and was very persistent catching as many as we can. Don’t hesitate and book. Definitely worth the trip.

  Captain Joe and his deckhand were solid guys. We got out there and caught our limit, so I can’t complain at all. Would recommend them to anyone, no matter your skill level. 🎣
