Jim is a little rough on the edges, but I appreciated it because it was obvious his focus was on finding fish. It appeared he was frustrated because It was a slow day with rain and cold conditions.
Starting the trip at 3:45 AM appeared insane, but there were tons of boats right behind us. Jim was aware of this and he worked his butt off rowing to keep us in the holes where the bites occurred.
I wish the boat limited out, but it didnโt. Thatโs fishing!ย I think Jim appeared very knowledgeable about the river and gave us the best chance to succeed. We were one of the few that caught fish that day. Thanks Jim, hope to see you again on the Kenai or Kasilof in the future.
