Setting off from its own harbor in Lafitte, a stone’s throw from the area’s honey holes, this service gets you to the fish quicker than most. Captain Kody Slocum and his crew are local experts. Having grown up on the bayous, they’ve acquired more than a lifetime of knowledge and they can’t wait to share their expertise with you.
You’ll be fishing from a 24’ Express boat that’s equipped with a single 250 HP Yamaha show max engine that can have it speeding up to an impressive 60 mph. Thanks to that, along with the assistance of a GPS and fish-finder, you’ll be on the fishing grounds in no time at all. There’s plenty of room for up to 5 anglers, and a case of water is provided for all on board making it a great option for trips of all kinds – families, friends, all loved ones!
This part of Louisiana is awash with lakes, bayous, and numerous waterways, making it a fantastic place to fish a variety of inshore species. You’ll target Redfish, Speckled Trout, Black Drum, Flounder, and more. The crew knows how to get you on the fish, and is happy to assist you in trolling or jigging with light tackle to reel ‘em in. All rods, reels, and terminal tackle you’ll need to be successful are provided, so settle in for a productive day.
After you’re done, the crew will clean and fillet your catch so all you need to do is put it on the flames and wait for the taste to hit. Your trip doesn’t have to end when you get back. We had a fantastic time with Captain Kody. The four of us went with two newbie fishermen and we caught a ton of redfish, black drum, and even some alligator gar. Our ice chest is full of fish for grilling, Kody was very patient and great to us and we visited some great spots. They will treat you right!

We really wanted to fish during our New Orleans trip, but we didn't rent a car. For a reasonable price they picked us up right from our hotel and brought us back. Communication was exceptional. They called and texted to make sure we knew the plan. Everyone was super friendly. Our captain Jason was amazing. We had different levels of fishing skills with us. He let us cast or bait our own hooks if we wanted. He did all the work for us who didn't want to do those things. He even would cast us into the sweet spots. He shared information about the fish, water, and the area. Most importantly he was very patient with us! We all had a great day!
We can only wish to have more families like y’all on board. Can’t wait until y’all come back!
Every one at the boat launch including the store was very friendly and helpful. I booked an early morning trip but the other captain was busy. So I excepted an evening trip. It was hard locating fish but Capt.Gavin would not give up. We eventually found a spot where the fish were biting. I had a fantastic time. Thanks Capt.Gavin!
