Captain Glen Gildemeister and his crew have over 50 years of experience fishing this lake, so they know all the best spots and techniques to maximize your chances of breaking some personal records.
Hop aboard their 34' Silverton flybridge boat, restored in 2017 for the best experience on these waters. The boat can accommodate up to 6 people, and it's powered by twin 270 HP Crusaders engines, taking you to the fishing grounds in no time. There's an onboard toilet, a kitchen, and a bed, so you won't have to sacrifice any comfort while cruising Lake Michigan.
This is a very rich lake, both in terms of wonderful natural views, as well as the wildlife that thrives here. There's an abundance of fish, and a variety of species that inhabit these waters. You can expect to run into creatures like Brown Trout, Lake Trout, and Rainbow Trout, as well as King and Coho Salmon.
Capt. Glen will have everything you need ready for you, including rods, reels, and terminal tackle. You'll have a range of artificial lures at your disposal to entice the bite of these hard-fighting fish. You'll also use downriggers to spread out your lines for the chance to hook that trophy fish.

Booked a trip for June 17th. I was hoping to get my sons the opportunity to feel the power of a King Salmon. Mission accomplished!! The Captain and his son had us on fish before we were even fully set up and my boys each got the chance to fight and land a 15lb(+/-) King Salmon. We had a great time!! Thanks Glen for working really hard to get us on some fish. We fished on a Saturday and there was many weekend warriors out there to contend with but Glen and his son stayed patient and found us some great fish. I would definitely recommend Luck Bird Charters if you want a memorable Lake Michigan fishing experience.
Captain Glen and his son were friendly, personal, and very hard working. Great communication before trip on weather status and details. It went smoothly from start to finish. All 3 of my grandsons caught fish, with 9 year-old Arizona boy hauling in a huge king. Lifetime memories. I'll be back Mike Grimm
