Always Hookin Fishing Charters is a father-and-son owned and operated charter service located in Jacksonville. USCG Captain Big Greg is retired from law enforcement with over 35 years of experience. USCG Captain Gregory has been fishing these waters since he was a young boy. He is a full time Captain and Commercial fisherman. He also loves to fish competitively in numerous tournaments. Captain Gregory and crew have won or placed in numerous tournaments throughout Florida. Gregory loves to put you on fish and show you different techniques to catch them. Gregory is great with kids!
What sets them apart from most charters is their ability to find & catch fish AND their beautiful Top Shelf 31' Contender Boat that is comfortable and quick. Our 'Always Hookin' Contender Boat is top-notch with a new interior, twin supercharged Mercury 300 Verado engines, and plenty of room to stretch out and fish. Smaller boats mean a rougher ride out and back, ride in our Cadillac of boats. We also have a marine toilet onboard (head) for your comfort.
The beautiful boat offers forward cooler seating, an aft seating bench, custom bean bags for lounging and a large double T-Top for shade.
Onboard they only fish with quality equipment and rods and reels. NO RUSTY JUNK WITH US. The Captains are also safety conscious, having newer electronics; EPIRB satellite beacon, satellite texting, 2 VHF radios, Type-1 personal flotation devices, and more.
From first timers to professional, we will work with you to show you a great time fishing!
All use of rods, reels, bait, tackle & etc are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters- fishing! Your trip will also include all the necessary fishing licenses and permits for the day. The crew will clean and fillet your catch for you to take home at the end of the trip.Tips are appreciated and actually expected for good service.

Our trip with Always Hookin Fishing was excellent from start to finish. The crew was friendly, knowledgeable, and worked hard to put us on fish throughout the day. The boat was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, making for an enjoyable experience on the water. They make sure everyone had a great time. We caught fish, made great memories, and couldn’t have asked for a better trip. Highly recommend Always Hookin Fishing to anyone looking for a top-notch fishing charter. We’ll definitely be back!

Captain Greg and Jayden (sp) picked us up on time at the dock and had us on the bite in just over an hour. Full service the entire time. Dry, comfortable ride out to fish and back to the dock when we were done. Hooks always baited. Took care of us in every aspect. Very attentive to every need. Got refills on beverages from the cooler for us several times. Great attitudes and personable with everyone onboard. Target species caught. Fish cleaned for us. AMAZING DAY all the way around! Highly recommend and will 100% book again very soon. Do yourselves a favor and book a trip with Always Hookin'!

We had an absolutely amazing experience with Always Hookin on our 6-hour offshore fishing trip! Captain Gregory and First Mate Jacob were incredible from start to finish. Any questions I had leading up to the trip were answered quickly and thoroughly, which made everything so easy and stress-free. Once we got out on the water, they were both extremely attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely personable. You can tell Captain Gregory really knows what he’s doing and knows exactly where the fish are biting. They worked hard the entire trip to make sure everyone was having a great time and catching fish. Most importantly, they helped make my son’s 13th birthday truly unforgettable. It was such a special experience and one we’ll be talking about for a long time. I highly recommend Always Hookin to anyone looking for an incredible deep sea fishing trip. We will definitely be back!

It was very easy to book our trip. Captain Greg contacted me right away to ask what we were hoping to catch and provided excellent information about what was going to be in season and what we might catch. He and his crew have a passion for fishing and were as happy as we were to be on the water. A wrath of information was passed on to us and they answered any questions we had. The boat was in great shape and all of the equipment was in perfect working order. Not a single complaint. Will definitely book again.
Captain Greg and First Mate were fantastic! We caught two large Kings and two Spanish on our short trip. I highly recommend this crew. We hope to fish with them again in the future.
