Tahoe Trophy Trout 

Rob was awesome - so chill, friendly, knowledgeable. we had such a great time woth Rob. We were worried about a midday trip in terms of fishing success, but we caught 8 fish in 5 hours! Definitely booking with him again next time we come to Tahoe. Absolutely a trip for the family memory bank.

Captain Rob was excellent! We caught fish right off the bat. He was great handling all of my 2 11 year olds questions. It was a great experience!!

Captain Rob was so awesome! He’s a very knowledgeable guy, who was so kind to answer any questions we had! We had an amzing time out on the water. We caught 8 fish out of 14 that bit.

It was a bit of a tough day for fishing seeing as we booked our trip so late in the season when nearly every species was spawning, but Captain Rob kept up thoroughly entertained the whole time. We had great conversation with lots of laughs and he gave us our own private tour of the lake, which was absolutely stunning. He also gave us some amazing recommendations for places to hike and eat, as he is intimately familiar with Lake Tahoe and the surrounding areas. Even though we only caught one fish, the scenery and the company were more than worth the trip. Thanks Capt. Rob for an amazing experience! We’ll see you in the spring next time!

This dude went above and beyond for my family on July 4th! We had a mid day trip and hooked up 1 fish after about an hour. Knowing it wouldn’t be super productive due to holiday boat traffic & being off the bite, he gave us a personal tour of some of the most beautiful parts of the lake from a locals perspective. We hit areas like Emerald Bay and he even stopped to let us hike up to see the falls and snap some photos and do some swimming in the most sought after spot on the lake! Once the sun and boat traffic died off a bit, he got us back out & hooked up with another fish and made our way back to the marina. Not a bad way to spend the 4th! It was like we were just out for a day on the lake with a great family friend. My wife and Mother in law both told me how amazing of a day they had and my son has already asked when we will be going back out with a captain Rob! Not soon enough, buddy. Not soon enough.

It was a rough day on Tahoe with many guides coming up empty on the mid day trip. Captain Rob kept after it and was able to locate the fish. We ended up pulling in quite a few Mackinaw while trolling the drop offs. The photo above is a 6-7 pound beauty we snagged in the early afternoon. Captain Rob has been fishing these waters since a teenager. He knows how to fish this body and will put you on the trout. Rob is known for pulling in some huge clunkers from Tahoe, including the record Rainbow pictured in his profile. If you are looking tighten your lines on Lake Tahoe, book a trip with him. I have his number saved for our next trip to Tahoe.

Could not be more satisfied with my charter by Tahoe Trophy Trout! When I arrived the boat was clean and well equipped with all the gear necessary for deep water and top water fishing. Captain Rob was already there and had the boat set up and ready to leave the marina. Rob was great at gauging my experience level and was interested on what my goals were for the trip (size vs quantity). We mostly stayed on south shore and west shore, which on top of being phenomenal fishing also had phenomenal views. Best of all, at the end of the day I was very pleased to bring home some sizable Lakers! Rob offered to fillet the fish for me and gave me some killer recipes that brought the trout to its fullest potential. Would highly recommend TTT to anyone!! Also the optional boat dog companion was an added perk! Ruby was a great co-captain!

Got on the water with Captain Rob and my dad bright and early at 530am. We worked the south and west shore most of the day as well as Emerald Bay. Rob had all the right gear to put us on non stop action. We probably had bites every 30 mins. Most of the action going to lake trout, we did manage a few nice browns as well. Rob was born and raised in South Lake Tahoe and knows the lake like the back of his hand. Would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a charter on Lake Tahoe whether it be fishing or just a cruise. Super knowledgeable and personable Captain, was a pleasure fishing with him!
