Captain Kris has been fishing Lake Erie for 20 years, with 4 years as a full time, professional guide. He is a US Coast Guard certified, 25 ton, Master Merchant Mariner. He is also certified in First Aid and CPR and holds a FCC VHF Marine radio operator's permit.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, Yellow Perch, and who knows what else! You can expect to do some spinning, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Feel free to bring your own snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!
Your excursion begins aboard a 29' Baja sportfishing boat that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. What's more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is available upon request.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
Before coming aboard, you'll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain.
A few items to bring include sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. Alcohol is not allowed.

Our first time on Lake Erie. Outstanding experience with Captain Kris and his crew mate Sarge. The service, the equipment and the whole experience with Sir Walleye were A++. Captain Kris put us right on fish and we rapidly got our limits of big fall walleyes! He knows the lake, has excellent knowledge of fishing techniques, and made our trip one to remember. Plus he and his team do all this smoothly and with excellent attention to details. Also the boat and the fishing equipment are top of the line and meticulously organized. Thank you!
