Open Water Charters
If you're in the market for a day to remember, look no further than Open Water Charters. Your guide for the day is Captain Brett, offering years of sportfishing experience.
Around here the fishing is popular for Fluke, Bluefish, Black Seabass, Striped Bass, Scup (Porgy), Tautog, Red Hake, Shark and more if you come at the right time of year. On the day of your trip you're likely to drift fish using heavy tackle. Light tackle would be available when fishing inshore.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Also remember to bring snacks for a boost of energy when needed!
You'll be fishing aboard a 32' Albermarle sportfishing boat that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 15% - 20% tip is customary.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
It's never a bad idea to bring a hat, sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray) and a small cooler with drinks and snacks. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
The click of a button is the only thing keeping you from a great day on the water with Open Water Charters!

Top notch boat, captain and crew! Numbers were down compared to last year but still had a great day on the water and caugjt a bunch. Will be back again next year.
We all had the best time. Caught so many fish we lost count. A perfect day.

Captain Brett and his mate Mike were great. We were on fish all day and move around to catch different species. Left them biting. Was a great experience all around. Great family friend boat. My 7 year old nephew had a blast! Will definitely book again.
Had a great day on the water with Brett and Mike. Exceeded expectations. 6 hours of bay and Ocean fishing. Caught flounder, sea bass, lots if Blue and a large sand shark. Would definitely do it again.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review. it was a pleasure sharing time with you and your daughter on the water.
so much fun and learned a lot!

O Capt.
