A pesca é a minha paixão desde criança, quando pescava no Cais de Juno, no sul da Flórida. Comprei o meu próprio barco, comecei a explorar, e depois entrei para a Marinha aos 21 anos como Eletricista de Aviação. Passei seis anos incríveis no Havai - a pesca era fantástica, e as paisagens também não eram nada mau. Agora estou em Jacksonville, e há um peixe com o seu nome à espera, e a Salty Goat Fishing Company vai ajudá-lo a apanhá-lo!
Dependendo da época do ano, pode fisgar Pargo-vermelho, Cavala-real, Beijupirá, Atum-de-barbatanas, Peixe-porco, Pargo-vermelho-pequeno, Garoupa-preta, Garoupa-cinzenta, Garoupa-vermelha, Tarpão, Corvina-vermelha, Sargo-choupana, e tudo o que mais morder o anzol. Nestas saídas, é comum usar o motor de popa para manter a posição, pescar à deriva e fazer Pesca de fundo com Equipamento Leve ou Equipamento pesado.
O Capt. Andrew acredita em ensinar as crianças a pescar desde cedo, por isso traga a família toda! As crianças devem usar coletes salva-vidas, por isso verifique antecipadamente se o tamanho adequado está disponível a bordo. Não se esqueça de trazer petiscos para que todos se mantenham bem-dispostos e com energia!
O Capt. Andrew levá-lo-á a bordo de uma Seavee de 26' com capacidade para 4 passageiros. A embarcação vem equipada com tudo o que é essencial. O seu capitão fornece canas e carretos, bem como iscas artificiais. Iscas vivas ou mortas estão incluídas, mas não deixe de perguntar para saber se as vai apanhar você mesmo.
A embarcação de pesca cobre a sua licença de pesca, por isso pode vir diretamente a bordo sem qualquer complicação! Tenha em atenção que algumas espécies podem ter regras especiais ou épocas limitadas. Basta perguntar e o seu capitão dará mais informações.
Alguns itens essenciais a trazer são protetor solar (sem spray), chapéu, água engarrafada e óculos de sol. O álcool é permitido com moderação, desde que evite bebidas espirituosas e garrafas de vidro.

After reading reviews, we knew we wanted to book! Boy oh boy were we on the sharks. While we didn’t get any in the boat, it was neat and thrilling! There were plenty of fish too, but the sharks got them pretty quick. Captain Andrew was great company, very knowledgeable, and the space was very clean. 10/10 will be booking with him again!

We caught over 10 big fish within just an hour of fishing. Some of our group was not so experienced with fishing, but Captain Drew was helpful, patient, and didn’t mind lending a hand or giving tips. We will definitely be coming back to fish with the Salty Goat and Captain Drew!

Things were a little slow at first, so the captain took us farther out to target some other species. We ended up catching so many snapper, sharks, and baitfish that I started saying, “Oh man, another big fish… that sucks!” Needless to say, it turned into a fantastic trip. The captain did everything he could to put us on fish, and it showed. We all had a great time and would 100% go back out with him again.

Hooked into a really nice Tarpon in under a minute of bait hitting the water. 100 pounder. caught 3 more and some really decent Bull Reds . Could have caught more but got wore out a bit . Boat clean and organized , high end fishing gear and Captain Andrew is very personable .

Captain was able to put us on plenty of fish, and we all caught of biggest bull reds to date. We went underway in good weather, but right as we got to the end of the waterway into the ocean the wind picked up, so we settled for fishing by a rock reef for a while. The wind picked up a lot and a storm began to blow in. This wasn't forecasted and Drew mentioned he'd have canceled had it been in the forecast. We headed back towards the dock and he offered to take us upstream to an inner-coastal waterway where there'd be less turbulence. We fished there for a while and got to boat back to the dock in an epic downpour. Was a fun 4 hours; we caught what he said was the 'biggest toad fish I've ever seen' and a bunch of small stuff. Drew gave us a catch from the morning so we didn't walk away empty handed, and it made for great fish tacos. 10/10 would do again.
