Bounty Bay PSJ Charters
Bounty Bay PSJ

The weather was great but the fish weren't initially cooperating. Captain Pete showed off his extensive knowledge of the Bay and connected waters and kept at it until he found the fish. We ended up catching a wide range of fish including sheepshead, spotted trout and Black Drum. At one of our last stops, my 8 year old daughter hooked into not one, but two giant fish. The first 30 pound black drum we got to the boat but then it pulled the hook. The second 35+ pound black drum initiated a run of easily 200 yards before Captain Pete ultimately decided to let it tow the boat in an attempt to wear it out. My daughter stuck with it and reeled the fish on all by herself. The sense of victory we all felt after a 30 minute fight on very light tackle will stick with us forever. When asked what the best part was of a week long trip to the beach, my daughter immediately and emphatically answered "fishing with Captain Pete!" We will definitely seek him out for future trips to the area.
We had to book a little last minute due to a tropical storm in the area. Captain Pete was honest with us about inshore fishing that day and we decided to go out on the ocean. I told him I was hesitant because we had dinner reservations that evening. He got us out, put us on some fish, my kids had an absolute blast and he had us back in time for dinner! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!!!!

Captain Pete was pleasant, courteous, helpful, and informative. My daughters and I had a wonderful time fishing and conversing with Pete throughout our trip. We caught a variety of fish and the boat was spacious and well kept. I wish we would have purchased the extended fishing trip. We will certainly call on Bounty Bay PSJ Charters when we come back this way.
captain Pete was friendly and very knowledgeable and took us to great spots. we caught our limit of beautiful red snapper and had a great trip start to finish!
Grateful for the opportunity, fish aren’t always biting crazy but we caught a nice Red and Capt Pete is a salt of the earth guy. Appreciate the company and time on the water. 🙌🏽
caught limit of Snapper and three nice groupers and a few other fish was overall a great day on the water!!

We caught almost the limit for the day. It was a nice time with my boys.

Captain Pete did an excellent job! Would highly recommend him to anyone. We were able to change our date due to weather conditions and he was very accommodating in changing the plans. He is very knowledgable in many different types of fish and how to catch them. Was very attentive to bait all our hooks and just letting us pull them into the boat one after another. The fish were biting great and it was a perfect day of fishing. Will use him again in the future for family fishing trips! Thanks Captain Pete!!
Captain Pete hooked us up. We were scheduled for an inshore trip Captain Pete told me Snapper season was open for the Florida guides and residents. So we decided to take full advantage of this. A short ride to the first spot we hooked up. We were able to catch our limit. Pete is a great friendly Captain with tons of knowledge. We will be booking with him next time we come down.
Captain P is a down to earth good ole southern man, we got right on them as soon as we made it out to his spots 20-30 miles out. Had to to do some run and gun fishing to dodge the dolphins and sharks but he found a way to navigate around them. Caught a lot of fish and had a blast, highly recommend captain P, we’ll definitely be back. Thanks Cap

Captain Pete was an amazing captain. We caught our limit in the first spot! He was very attentive and helpful and would answer any question you had. One of the best fishing charters we’ve had out here. This is definitely a trip to do if you love catching some large fish. Overall, an amazing experience
captain Pete was easy to fish with. very knowledgeable about the history of the Port St Joe area, we enjoyed hearing about it. Due to high winds we couldn’t do the offshore as we’d planned but still had a great time fishing inshore. I would absolutely recommend capt. Pete and if we ever make it to Port St Joe again he’ll be who we continue to use.
