Emerald "C" Fishing Charters 

We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Emerald “C” Fishing Charters, and Captain Garrett was a huge reason why. There were three of us on the trip, all experienced freshwater fishermen from Ohio, but this was our first time doing this type of fishing in the Gulf. Garrett made the entire experience outstanding from beginning to end. I’m not exaggerating when I say that there were very few stretches of even three minutes when one of the three of us wasn’t reeling in a fish. The action was incredible, but what impressed us just as much was how well Garrett managed the entire day. He was extremely attentive without hovering over us. He quickly recognized that we were experienced fishermen and gave us the freedom to fish, while still stepping in with great direction whenever we needed it for a particular species or technique. Whenever an area started slowing down, Garrett recognized it quickly and moved us into a better position. It really felt like he had the entire day planned perfectly. We started the morning doing what Garrett called “fishing for dinner.” We caught 22–23 keeper vermilion snapper along with plenty of baitfish. Once we had more than enough fish for the table, he changed gears and took us after bigger fish. That’s when the day went from great to unforgettable. We got into amberjack and barracuda, with all three of us getting opportunities at big fish. We also caught red snapper that had to be released because they weren’t in season, along with grunts and several other species. By the end of the trip, we honestly couldn’t tell you how many fish we had caught. What really stood out was that Garrett wasn’t simply taking us somewhere and hoping the fish were there. He was constantly paying attention to what was happening, making adjustments and putting us on fish. He knew when to give us instruction, when to let us do our thing, and when it was time to move. We came to Navarre from Ohio hoping to have a memorable offshore fishing experience, and this trip exceeded our expectations by a mile. We caught a tremendous number of fish, brought home some excellent vermilion snapper, caught some big fish we’ll be talking about for a long time, and genuinely enjoyed every minute on the boat. Craig Williams and Emerald “C” Fishing Charters have a first-class operation, and Captain Garrett was a huge part of making this one of the highlights of our entire trip. We would absolutely fish with Garrett and Emerald “C” again. Five stars without hesitation and highly recommended.

We ended up doing an early trip (7am to 11am) due to pending poor weather. Our boat captain (Jacob) was super friendly, skillfull, and knowledgeable. My wife and I brought our two sons (9 and 11), and Jacob was very patient and kind with the kids. On probably our 2nd cast, we tied into something big a couple of hundreds yards off shore from the National Seashore. Jacob correctly predicted about 1 minute into the fight that it was a large stingray. We had ourselves a 20+ minute fight and then surfaced a 120+ lb ray. It was a blast, and super memorable. While the guide can’t predict what will bite, he made the rest of the trip (which was slower than the start) a lot of fun with good information about the area and the type of fishing we were doing. 100% recommend this service and this guide!

Went out with Garrett and he made the trip great. He asked what we wanted to do and got us on the big fish as well as the snapper. My son and I both brought in Amber Jack and added a barracuda for my boy as well. 10 of 10 would recommend and we plan on coming back again. I will also add he was super patient with my 7 year old daughter who was all over the place on the boat.

Took my two sons out for their first charter. Captain Garrett was ready to go and explained his plan. Anytime we needed assistance he was right there and had us on fish pretty much the whole trip. Kids came home and talked all day about how much they enjoyed the trip. Will definitely be booking a trip with him again in the future.

The owner of the company contacted me the night before the trip late, around 9pm asking to reschedule. Then came back and said we were on schedule after confirming another day. The next morning nothing was said by this owner about that previous issue. I get that things happen, but I would have said something about it. me and my group were then directed to a small, older beater boat. While another group was on the boat in all the pictures, I assumed we were going to be fishing off that boat. We hit a couple spots, and only caught a few keeper fish. it was enough for dinner for the whole group that night with none to bring home. The amberjacks were a really fun catch, even though they were not in season. A part of me wonders how the group on the owners boat did? I have a feeling we got shafted here with the owner getting double booked, and there was no boat issue. but that’s just a hunch. overall it was an ok trip. the young man we went with Jacob was great! he made up for a lot, and if it wasn’t for him I’d be more upset.

Talk about a cool captain! He’s personable, friendly and so good at what he does! He went above and beyond to make our experience exceptional. We made great memories, caught lots of fish, had all the laughs and definitely looking forward to our next trip with Noah! Thank you! Five stars for you!

Caught loads of fish and several different types. Garrett, our Captain, was superb…extremely knowledgable, polite, professional, and encouraging. This was my 5th charter fishing trip, and it was definitely my best one. Woukd absolutely book with Emerald again!!

Garrett and Jayden were absolutely the best! They got my son and i onto fish at every single stop. It was my son’s first deep sea fishing trip and he is still smiling about it. We caught so many fish and they praised him each time. 100/10 would definitely recommend!!!

This trip was for my grandsons bday and hoght school graduation. I got back “awesome” and best day ever!! Thank you to the captain and crew for making this a special day. They caught a sheeps head and mackerel!! Bonus was the Blue Angels and dolphins! Would certainly book again.

We booked last minute and everything went very smooth. Even though the weather wasn’t perfect Garrett and Jayden did an fantastic job working the fishing spots and finding fish for my family. Easy to talk with and work with involving every aspect of trip. Thank you so much!
