Fish-N-Fool Charters offers nearshore fishing trips out of Oregon Inlet Fishing Center, the closest marina to the Atlantic Ocean. They are proud to bring you a quality, family-friendly experience while fishing the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The charter is operated by Captain Bobby Smith, who has been fishing this area for more than 30 years and is eager to share his vast experience with you!
He welcomes you aboard the Fish-N-Fool, a 36' custom Carolina built vessel powered by twin 300 HP Cummins engines. This boat is well suited to local waters and fitted for the best nearshore fishing. On board you will find the latest electronics to locate the fish below. Up to six passengers can join Capt. Bobby on board, and children of all ages are welcome.
Half day trips run on a daily basis, and these are especially fun for families. You can stay close to shore and target various species depending on the season, including Spanish Mackerel, False Albacore, Red Drum, Cobia, and an assortment of bottom fish. If you're looking for more of a challenge, book a full day trip and let Capt. Bobby take you as far as 35 miles from shore, where even more variety is available. With many fish and techniques to choose from, you will soon discover why the Outer Banks earned its reputation for phenomenal fishing!
Fish-N-Fool Charters provides all bait, tackle, and a fishing license. Standing by is a professional, respectful deckhand who is wonderful with children and provides an enjoyable experience no matter what angling skills you possess. You can keep your catch and clean it yourself or have the marina clean it for a nominal fee. You are encouraged to bring sunscreen, proper clothing, a camera, and any food or drinks you need.

I can’t recommend Fish n Fool enough. We had let the captain and mate know that we had some people in our group that had never fished before and they made sure they caught something!!! when things would get slow they would switch techniques up and almost instantly see results. the captain was always on the lookout for where the fish could be and got us hooked up on a couple of cobia, we caught tons of spanish mackerel, and even some “lookdowns”. We all made some incredible memories today thinks to this knowledgeable crew. we will definitely be booking with them again

Very accommodating Captain and Mate! We had several young people with no off shore experience. The Captain kept us on fish and the Mate kept all lines tight! Thanks again, we look forward to booking with you next time.

Great captain and crew! They worked hard to find fish for us and Our family group of teens and grandparents had fun, catching a lot of blues and mackerel. Would do it again and definitely recommend Capt Bobby and Cole!!

We are a family of 6, took s 4 hour trip. Captain Bobby and Jack were great! Put us on fish quickly and Jack was hustling, and was great keeping everyone involved. We had 30 Spanish Mackeral in about an hour. We then went further out for Shark and limited out on them! Caught a couple more Mackeral on the way back in for good measure! 100% would recommend!

What’s great fishing trip!!! Captain Bobby had us on fish fast!!!! First mate Jack was awesome as well!!!! He was great with all of us especially my step son!!!! We come to the outer twice a year, I’ll definitely be booking another trip on the fishin fool!!!!! Everyone’s ready for our next trip with Captain Bobby and Jack! Thanks again!!!!
