It was mainly for my 6 year old son and he was so happy! James and Bernardo were amazing with him and even let him reel in some of the bigger catch for a real adrenaline rush! He is already talking about doing it again on our next trip to Miami! Awesome job guys!

After the trip, Benny recommended a nearby restaurant where we could take our catch. They cooked the fish and served it with delicious sides.

Late Summer Fishing Report

We are having wonderful fishing weather as we end our summer! Very calm seas have been kind to us, and our customers.
Fishing has been consistent with yellowtail and mutton snapper, king mackerel, bonito, and occasional mahi or shark in the daytime. Night fishing is still excellent for spawning mangrove and yellowtail snapper.
For those of you coming our way soon, expect hot days with little or no wind almost daily, and late afternoon showers possible as well. You may bring your own beverages on board, however no glass containers please. Also wearing light weight clothing, hat or other sun protection as well as sunscreen is advised. Sneakers or other outdoor shoes advised, no flip flops please!

Spring 2026 Report

As we approach springtime, the cold fronts are less frequent as are the following northeastern winds that can make our trips a bit sporty for some anglers!
Best advice for folks wanting to come fishing, is to not only check weather forecasts a day or two before your scheduled trip but prepare yourself accordingly. One to three foot seas are usually tolerable for most passengers, but over that may require them to take motion sickness medicine. Most medications are best taken the night before to start with, however follow directions as written on them.
Fishing should start to improve with pelagics such as mahi, tuna, and sailfish that coincide with annual migrations of baitfish down our coast. Also with the full moons of March and April come amberjacks on our local wrecks. Of course, this is a day to day "guestimate" as to how the catch will be. Some days the mornings are the best, while others the afternoon bite is awesome! Late afternoons from now through early summer historically is best for blackfin tuna, which respond to trolling, or jigging artificials to drifting live or dead baits.

We've had horrible fishing weather and closed during that time, then thankfully, amazingly beautiful, clear blue skies, and flat calm seas as well.
Of course, we cannot guarantee awesome catches every trip; that's why it's called fishing, not catching!
We can guarantee our best efforts to make your tour as pleasant as possible. Teaching equipment use, baiting your hook always, untangling your lines happily, and answering any questions you may have.

Winter Bite is On!

Since the hurricane passed we have been catching all varieties of fish. Daytime anglers have seen muttons, groupers, kings, and mahi-mahi! Sailfish are just starting to pass us on a southern migration. Captain Steve and mate Pedro have been putting our customers on great fish consistently, and getting super reviews in the process!
Night fishing has been nothing short of spectacular! Loads of yellowtail, muttons, bluefish, kingfish and mackerel being caught every night. Our night fishing trip is the biggest "secret" in Miami, but Captain Ryan and ace mate Bernie are building their customer base as well as their reputations every night. You will never find a crew more intent on pleasing you.
A suggestion to those of you who wish to come on our regular trips or charter one of our boats. PLEASE stay in contact with us so to be better advised about possible weather issues. This time of the year we do have times the seas are just too high for us to take you fishing! We want your trip to be as enjoyable as possible.

Miami Winter Fishing Report

DECEMBER FISHING REPORT AND WINTER FORECAST
Its official, summer is finally gone! It has been wonderfully refreshing to get up in the morning with temperatures in the high 60’s to low 70’s. Even though we’ve had only a few fronts, we’ve had winter-like high pressure areas stay with us, creating high seas and rough water as they pass, as well as driving migratory species our way. This fishing should continue well into April!!
Spanish mackerel are in abundance right now. Trolling with small feathers or spoons in shallow water, 15 to 40 deep or so will get you all the Spanish mackerel you want. Stop trolling when you have a fish on and cast with light tackle or fly rods for a real treat! There aren’t many fish that are more fun than mackerel on light tackle. Remember to plan your mackerel fishing around the outgoing tide, as it is the best for them.
The past September through November has been the BEST sail fishing fall period that I’ve seen in years, and it continues into December. Our half day trips are routinely catching sailfish even on dead baits, although live baits fished either under a kite or on flat lines usually results in more hookups.
The passing high pressure zones that make the wind blow like crazy from the North to Northeast quadrants results in dolphin appearing in our coastal waters. To catch them all that is necessary is to get outside the reef (deeper than 100 ft) put out small trollers and start fishing. Following any weed line or current rip AND looking for bird activity will guarantee success. These fish are moving south at a good clip, so when you find birds head to the North side of the activity. Schools of dolphin have been showing up frequently as our Reward Fleet boats are on the drift, moving with the wind and current.
Blackfin tuna also are around, but in smaller sizes than the spring. On the Reward Fleet we catch them using small trolling lures while moving between drifts, and have had great success with vertical jigs while we are on the drift.
Black and Gag grouper are next on the list, with more of them around than in recent years. The best way to catch on is to keep a deep running large plug out while trolling the inside reefs for mackerel. By the way, this should be on your heaviest tackle, at least 50 lb. You’ll know why when a nice black hits and threatens to rip out your rod holder! Another method is to drop live pinfish on wrecks and ledges with the same tackle. Use enough lead, even up to 2 lbs to get it down there. The local spots can be found online, just type in “Dade county artificial reef sites” and figure it out from there.
Night fishing on the Reward Fleet has been phenomenal lately! Our scheduled trip time is now 8pm-1am, every night except Monday. Captain Ryan and Captain Steve with mate Bernie report awesome catches of yellowtail, mutton and mangrove snapper in near limit numbers nightly. We are happy to provide 20 lb spinning tackle, circle hooks, and a variety of baits including squid, ballyhoo, sardines, and silversides at no additional charge.
