8 hr offshore trolling

We started catching false albacore as soon as we started 25 miles offshore, had to relocate a couple miles east to find some clean water, the grass is thick, but we struggled through and it paid off, cought a wahoo and some mahi and decided to try some new spots in state waters for snapper ( catch and release) chumed them up and pitched bait, cought 2 10-12 pounds and popped off 3 or 4 one was a good one they are on almost every spot we checked (snapper season starts may 22) we have cought some 20-25 pounds recently. The cobalt blue water is not far off shore.

It did take a couple hrs to find some fish but made it happen.

We've been catching a couple good king mackerel, and several false albacore and amberjacks while trolling, we have started checking out the snapper on several of the near shore reefs (catch and release) for up coming season, chum to the surface and pitch to em. We've popped off several 20-30 pounders and have seen several bigger, the weather hasn't been cooperative so haven't done much bottom fishing yet, hopefully this wind will lay down. Saw a huge school of cobia and hooked a 80-100 pounder but he popped off after an intense battle. And have cought several jack crevel at the pass.
