Eight Walleyes, Bluegill & Crappie Feast

Big smallies biting and biting often! It was a fantastic evening with some bruiser smallmouth hitting the boat. We took an hour out of the 4 hours to chase pike and those cooperated as well!!!!

We are in the dog days of summer and when you have a day like this you smile and say that was wonderful. All three fisherman caught walleyes and when you are dang near to 2/3 of your limit of walleyes in four hours that is a dang good day of fishing. We went through eight dozen nightcrawlers pulling crawler harnesses so the rods were continuously bent. I would call this a fantastic day!

The smoke is so bad up here from the wild fighters that are to the north of us that I gave the gentleman an option to cancel. They decided to come up and fish anyway and I’m glad they did because the bite was phenomenal. We ended up with 50 smallmouth on the clicker over 14 inches before we switched to Pike. We did catch one pike but it was a really good fishing day.
