  My husband and I had an amazing experience with Jake on our fishing adventure while staying in Treasure Island! From start to finish, he showcased his knowledge of the area, making the trip not only fun but also informative. Jake was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome. We had a fantastic time and were thrilled to catch five different species of fish! The directions to the dock were straightforward, which made it easy to find our way. Communication with Jake was seamless, ensuring everything went smoothly. If we find ourselves back in Treasure Island, we won’t hesitate to book another charter with Jake. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a great fishing adventure!

  Captain Jake was thoroughly knowledgeable and experienced in every aspect of fishing. He knows the local fishing spots, the conditions and habits and details of how to actually catch the specific fish. He is a great teacher and tailors his approach to your current level of skill. I think he has the patience and teaching skill to engage novice children and the expertise and experience to give a seasoned fisherman a great day of local fishing. His boat is nice and well equipped and he provides all the tackle and bait. He communicated well about what we should bring and what to expect. He enjoys what he does and gave us a perfectly enjoyable day.

  Amazing Experience for Beginners

  We booked a trip with Captain Jake for our son's 6th birthday as total beginners. Captain Jake was a fantastic teacher and had us oriented to the rods in no time. Our little guy caught a fish in his first five minutes! It was a fun day on the water catching a bunch of different types. Another highlight was a mom and baby dolphin that stayed by our boat for an hour-- closer than any dolphin-watching tour! Captain Jake is incredibly knowledgeable as well as warm and friendly. We had a wonderful morning with him and can't wait to book our next trip!

  Captain Jake was great. He took us to our first stop and immediately we caught a 32” red and then a 28” shortly after. We caught several fish at this location but unfortunately the wind forced us to move and seek a more protective area and the bite slowed down. Captain Jake was great with my 9 year old grandson. He gave him some great pointers and explained the marine life in the area. A large manatee swam right next to our boat which was very exciting. Overall it was a very good experience.

  Captain Jake is the BEST!!

  My 2 kids (9 and 12) and I had a phenomenal time out on the water with Captain Jake. We did the 4 hour in-shore fishing trip on a chilly day and it was still the experience of a lifetime! Not only did he get us on fish, he is an area native and therefore knowledgeable about all of the surrounding physical and political geography of the area. Not only did we catch a bunch of fish, we learned a lot, too! Last, and so importantly, he was AMAZING with my two kids! He is so kind and patient, and was EXACTLY the person I needed to help my children to develop their love for fishing! I would highly recommend Captain Jake to ANYONE!!! 10/10!
