So the last few trips after the full moon are producing killer numbers of nice trout. And the good news is we dont have to run far to get them so even on the 2 hour trips you can be successful.

Started out catching about 40 croakers for bait. Then went to the pogy schools and caught over 20 bull reds and lost a shark.

The big over slot redfish we call bull reds have shown up big time. We target these fish by running around looking for birds diving or visibly seeing them chasing bait on the surface. Nows the best time of year to get after them.

The redfish are getting into their late summer pattern and we have them dialed in. Bait is getting scarce so it takes a little more time to find the right ones but its worth it because when you find them the reds are chewing the hooks off.

This spring is starting off with a bang. The big bulls are cruising the flats and are starting to school up. We target these big fish with soft plastics and live bait. It should only get better as the season rolls on.

Summer time has started a little early for us this year. The water temps are a little higher than normal this early so that means fishing early or late will provide the best results. This time of year is all about the right type of bait. Our clients will be fishing Croakers,Lys, and shrimp to offer the best chance at capitalizing on some great dinner fare.
