A caveat about it being suitable for children. These are big fish and they do require some strength to reel in! But that's a great sign of you want to catch fish! :)

LAYERS!!! Cold and wet during our visit so bring not only layers to stay warm, but water proof clothing would make the experience more enjoyable. Gorgeous area though.

we got there a little late in the season so didnt get to catch anything extremly huge. But got to see a lot of jellyfish. even caught a salmon shark. Was perfect timing to have beautiful weather and calm waters. Go earlier if you wanna catch anything really big. Otherwise worth every minute.

The only reason I don’t recommend taking children on the trip is due to the fast water. I’d recommend children 13 and over, unless they are experienced at fishing, and are physically and mentally mature.
