Two guests can be on board per trip in the Back Country 161 Ghost. The boat is 17 feet long, and the fact that it is built to run skinny helps it reach hotspots that larger boats can’t. While polling the flats is the preferred method of stalking these fish we also have a bow mount trolling motor.
The charter specializes in flats and backcountry fisheries. In these hotspots chances are you’ll encounter Redfish all year round. You can also come across Spotted Seatrout and Black Drum, and you need to check with the crew whether Snook is available. You’ll be going after these specimens with light tackle, spinning, and flyfishing techniques upon request.
Children are welcome on board. Guests are covered by the charter’s Florida fishing license, and they get the necessary fishing gear, lures, and baits. Mind you that if you’re interested in fly fishing, you need to ask for the equipment in advance. For a more refreshing experience, the crew offers bottled water during the trip. Lastly, though keeping your trophy is allowed, the crew recommends catch and release practice. Effective September 01, 2022, the entire region is becoming a catch and release area for Redfish to allow it to recover from loss of habitat.

Počeo sam da pecam na plićacima i mirnim vodama Floride pre više od 20 godina. Živim na Floridi od 2008. godine i provodim preko 200 dana godišnje na vodi u oblastima Mosquito Lagoon i North Indian River. Odrastao sam u pacifičkom severozapadu i pecanje je među mojim najranijim sećanjima. Nakon fakulteta počeo sam da radim za Lamiglas, Inc. kao dizajner štapova/blanks-ova. Lamiglas je jedan od najvećih proizvođača ribolovačkih štapova na severozapadu. Nakon 20 godina dizajniranja štapova za Lamiglas, preselio sam se na Floridu gde dizajniram komponente i opremu za izradu štapova, kao i blanks-ove za Mud Hole Custom Tackle.
