Captain Mike Smith Fishing Adventures 

We had an amazing fishing trip with Captain Mike and took lots of pictures to remember this adventure! My grandson requested to catch striped bass and Captain Mike didnt disappoint him. Communication was top notch and we had all the information we needed leading up to the day of the trip including parking, boat slip and contact number. As we write this review, we are dining on the yummy striped bass we got to take home. We would highly recommend taking this 3 hr. tour with Captain Mike!

Had a great morning out on the water with Captain Mike! A very fun experience to share with my boyfriend. Captain Mike made sure we were fully equipped for a successful fishing trip and he tirelessly jumped between us both to ensure we had bait/ catching fish and travelling to the spots biting! Also a great camera man! Weather and tides were a bit rocky and this day we really only caught some porgi, but still, the experience was 10/10. Thanks Captain Mike!

I booked this trip for a fathers day present for my fiance and his boys. Capt. Mike did not dissapoint. He was attentive and hands on with the boys; they loved him! Great day out on the water! Capt. Mike was great wirh communication from booking all the way through the wnd of the trip! Great guy! Highly recommend Capt. Mike! Would definitely book with him again!

Captain Mike was a pleasure to work with on this charter i booked for my husband’s birthday. Super communicative and professional all around. And to top it all off brought him to incredible spots and my husband reeled in his personal best!

Captain Mike was amazing. My son amd i went out for a nice 3 hour trip and had a blast. Caught a lot of fish. Highly recommend and will be booking more trips with Captain Mike soon

Captain Mike chartered myself and two boys (8&6) for a fun filled morning on the sound. The conditions were perfect (except an unusual amount of dragon flies). We caught fish on our first line in, and continued catching all morning. My youngest who doesn’t like the rocking of the boat started to not have a good time. Captain Mike picked up on this immediately and changed the scenery to ensure everyone had fun. My kids wanted to give captain Mike 10 out of 5 stars, we ended the day by catching a week fish, I’ve never heard of it, captain Mike say they are pretty rare to catch. Overall a great experience captain Mile was energetic, kept my kids included and engaged with the entire process. Would recommend to anyone, and we will be back next year

My wife and I took our 10 y/o grandsons out for an afternoon trip. Capt Mike was quick with communication and agreed to push the trip back an hour to accommodate our plans with the boys. Capt Mike and his 1st mate, Derrel, were the best duo we could ask for. They welcomed the boys and genuinely cared about them enjoying themselves and learning about the boat, the fishing gear, and the fish. And, WOW, were there fish!? We didn’t count, but I would guess we caught 50 fish in total. Including, Porgi, black sea bass, sea robins, and sharks. We all loved the experience and plan to fish with them again next year. Captain Mike runs a first class trip. I wanted to give my two grandsons, ages 13 and 18, a really great time with wonderful memories and Captain Mike made it happen. He is great with the kids. He teaches but he doesn't micromanage. He is so positive. He is also extremely knowable about all the necessary pieces to make a fantastic trip. We caught so many fish! We will do this again!

Went on a fishing trip last week with my two boys 14 and 9. Captain Mike and his First Mate Derryl were awesome! They were so patient and loved sharing their expertise not only about fishing but about the surrounding geography and history of the area. We caught over 30 fish! Even were able to bring some home for fish tacos! As we parted ways, Mike asked us to leave a review (which I was going to do anyways), and my 9 year old immediately said "that was 5 stars Dad!" and my 14 year old said "yeah, definitely 5 stars!"

Capt. Mike took our two family members fishing who were visiting Niantic from St. Louis. The day turned out to be very windy and Capt. Mike tried his best to make the trip fun and enjoyable but the weather didn't cooperate. The guys caught a few fish and had a good time. Next time, hopefully they will have better weather!
