First Choice Charters 

Had a great day with Captain Larry and First Mate Alicia. Every fisherman knows you can have one of those days but the crew were not going to have us coming back in empty handed. They kept us out longer than paid to make sure of that. We fished the Islamorada hump and got to try an electric reel to bottom fish. Ended up catching mahi mahi and Almaco Jack. Great experience for our first time fishing in the Keys. I would charter with this crew again!

Had a great time on the water today! Captain Larry put us in the middle of a Mahi school that was hitting like crazy! And then gave a great recommendation for a restaurant that would cook our catch for us. Such a cool experience for me and my boys. Thanks First Choice!!!

We had an absolutely fantastic day out on the water, catching 4 Bonita and 10 boat limit) black fin tuna. Captain Larry knew exactly where to go to get the best results and the crewman, Tom, was beyond awesome. Overall, great, great trip! It was the kind of trip that seems to happen to other people and not to me. This time it was me so very thankful for the experience and thanks to First Choice!

We enjoyed our half day trip with Captain Larry and Tom! Tom helped us catch a big wahoo ! We would definitely recommend.

Great morning on the boat with Captain Larry and First Mate Frank. Both guys are very nice and know their fishing. I took the 4 hour offshore excursion and the time flew by. We caught some King Mackerel and a shark. I had a Wahoo on my line but it bit through the leader and got away. I would definitely use First Choice again. When it was over Captain Larry filleted my fish and I took it to Wahoos for lunch and they fried it up for my lunch! Delicious! Thanks guys.

Chartered with Captain Larry for a 3/4 day fishing experience for our family and two friends while down in the Keys on vacation. With four teenage boys - our goal was to have a fun experience and catch mahi … and Captain Larry and his first mate made sure we did so! Two of the teens had never been deep sea fishing and happy to report all had fun and we brought home several mahi and even had fun reeling in a large barracuda. Captain Larry and his first mate were excellent on communication and helped us throughout the day. We had a great time - and had fresh mahi for dinner last night. Thank you.

We picked a challenging day because the fish were feeding overnight from a full moon but Capt Larry knows how to find em and what to present for lunch! Calm seas and sunshine only made the trip more memorable but the coolest catch of the day was a message in the bottle sent out by some kids from Georgia.

Our trip was wonderful we had an awesome time. The Captain and his mate were great! His mate was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, the Captain was extremely knowledgeable also, definitely felt safe with this crew. And we caught a ton of fish! 5 stars for sure!!

Out the door by 630 for 7a departure on offshore fishing charter First Choice by Captain Larry out of Islamorada. On way out to deep sea 20-25 miles out we stopped near Alligator Reef so the first mate (Rick) could cast out for bait. We trolled on our way out to sea and caught a barracuda. Captain Larry spotted some birds congregating about 10 miles further and we found our first bit of Mahi Madness - our boat was hooking them as fast as we could put baited hooks in the water and also grabbed a few jacks and other smaller fish we threw back. Once it slowed down - Captain Larry found another hot spot near a floating plank he rightfully assumed meant bait fish and bigger fish were in the area. Another round of mahi madness ensued. First time my son and nephew got to try offshore fishing and they had a day they’ll never forget.
