Magnetic Island Fishing Charters
Looking to go fishing on Magnetic Island? Magnetic Island Fishing Charters is your ticket! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Dom knows them forwards and back.
You're likely to go after Cobia, Giant Trevally, Golden Trevally, Longtail Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Narrow-barred Spanish Mackerel, Sailfish, Black Marlin, Nannygai, Red Emperor Snapper, Coral Trout, and more, depending on conditions. For these species, you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
You'll find yourself aboard a 21' custom-built Bonito center console that holds up to 5 passengers. It comes with outriggers, and everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, as well as lures.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
Don't forget to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Dom was so easy to get along with, professional and genuinely cared about making our trip one to remember. Safety was always a priority and with an unwell guest he went out of his way to make everyone as comfortable as possible. Doms knowledge of the area found amazing fishing, with some incredible memories. Spanish mackeral, bream, Cobia, and a lemon shark were just a few of the species we caught on the day. Nature at its finest with regular sightings of sea snakes, turtles, and sharks to mix things up. We will be back!
Hi Michael, Thanks for the recommendation and review. It is much appreciated. Regards, Dom
caught a 40kg mackerel despite bad conditions for fishing, would recommend.
Hi William, Thanks for the recommendation and I am glad you caught a big Spanish Mackerel and enjoyed yourselves. Cheers, Dom
Great fishing trip, took time to see whales and dolphins and adjust to the weather conditions. We tried a couple different things and we cached some good ones.
Hi Roos, I'm glad you enjoyed yourselves and got to see Humpback Whales breaching and dolphins. Corey landed a nice Trevally to top it off. Regards, Dom
I’m glad you enjoyed yourselves on a very difficult day weather wise. Thank you for the recommendation Daryn.
Hi David, Thanks for the recommendation and it was a great day out with you guys. Regards, Dom
