Sol Fishing 

We had an amazing time on our 2-hour fishing charter with Captain Evan! From start to finish, it was a fantastic experience for our whole family. We saw so much wildlife, caught over 20 fish, and landed multiple different species, which kept everyone excited the entire trip. Captain Evan was incredibly patient and knowledgeable, taking the time to teach us how to fish and making sure everyone was successful. He was especially great with the kids—they had an absolute blast and are already talking about coming back! We went out for a 2 hour quick trip inshore charter. We brought our 6yr old, 5 yr old, and two 4 yr olds for their first fishing/boating experience. Captain Evan was absolutely wonderful. Our kids haven’t stopped talking about him and the trip. We caught lots of snapper, a puffer fish, and a bunch of stingrays which the kids were thrilled about. He took the time to teach the kids all about the fish, the boat, stopped to point out dolphins and manatees to us and teach the kids about the animals. Would recommend to anyone! We had a wonderful time and will make it a point to do it again if we come back to the area! Our kids say thank you!!

Everything about our day was perfect. Captain was courteous and extremely helpful, we were very well cared for. Boat is clean and quick. Plenty of bait and tackle. Will definitely book again!

Evan was super accommodating! Normally Evan has a deckhand but we felt no different with the service with just him. There was never a moment bait was not on a hook and ready to go. And there were 6 of us… Evan is super knowledgeable and knows where to get the best lane snapper which is incredibly delicious. We had a blast with our group and genuinely felt like Evan truly cared about your safety and your having a good time. Oh and make sure to ask if a great white shark has pinged before you decide to pick your fishing site!

I contacted Captain Evan just 2 days prior to fishing. Captain Evan promptly responded to my messages (unlike a few others on here that I messaged). On the day of the charter, I got stuck in a traffic jam and was roughly 30 minutes late to the dock. Captain Evan was understanding throughout the delay. We were targeting mangrove snapper with live shrimp (provided by Captain Evan). Captain Evan remained patient with my group and continued to teach us how to feel the bite (I struggled for awhile). We stayed out over a hour later than planned as Captain Evan showed us the rocket that launched from SpaceX. We caught Mangrove Snapper, Blue fish, Lady fish and a jack. We saw countless Dolphins and a manta ray! Over all it was to most professional yet laid back charter that I have ever been on and I am already planning on my next trip back down here from Indiana to fish with Captain Evan and SOL Fishing! And his boat is one of the nicest Center consoles that I have ever seen. Definitely the Bugatti of boats!

We fished with Captain Evan on 12/28/2024. Due to the rough seas, we did an inshore trip on the Intercoastal. We fished for red mangrove snapper, snook, sheepshead. Our whole family - 4 people - were on the boat and we caught more than 30 fish overall! Captain Evan was awesome - great with my boys and made sure that everyone was involved and caught fish. I would recommend Sol Fishing to any family or group, we'll plan to go again when we return to New Smyrna Beach. Bonus - they have great gear as well!

The kids had a great time! They learned alot of the water, boat safety, water safety. The water was perfect. The weather was perfect. The kids were reeling in the fish left and right! They had a blast. Captain Evan explained to them the importance of water, boat and fish safety. Captain Evan took us to disappearing island. The kids went for a refreshing swim. Searched the island for some shells. We all highly recommend taking a trip with Captain Evan! We couldn’t be more thankful and grateful for such a great time!

Matt at Sol Fishing is a true professional and great guy. He had a great boat, handled the boat very well around the semi difficult seas, put us on fish, was very prepared with plenty of bait, and made sure my son and I had a great experience all day. I would definitely book Sol Fishing again and would recommend to everyone!
