The weather didn’t cooperate — rough seas and all — but honestly, that ended up being part of the story. The vessel handled the conditions like it was built for exactly that, which gave us real confidence out there. The captain and mate are the kind of crew you hope to get. They kept the trip upbeat, stayed on the fish even with the chop working against us, and we walked away having landed two sharks — not bad for a tough weather day. What made it memorable, though, was that they wove in some local history along the way. It wasn’t a lecture; it was the kind of context that makes a place feel richer. If you want a charter where the crew genuinely invests in your experience — not just the catch — this is it. We’ll be back.
We had a great experience with Master Sportfishing. Captain Mike moved frequently to ensure we were on fish. The five of us fishing landed well over 100 fish on the day. Although most of the fish did not meet the size restrictions for sea bass or flounder, which is primarily what we caught, we still brought home enough for a few meals. First mate Marty kept our lines in the water as well. We had a great trip.
we had a last minute booking and captain Mike called and we discussed the options for the trip ahead of time. The crew was genuine and invested in putting us on fish- which they did! we didn’t come away with any monsters but we caught a dozen fish or so and had a great trip and ate our catch for dinner. just caht say enough good things about the seevice we received and the overall experience! when we come back we will do so and will be calling Master first thing.

First time booking with Master Sportfishing, definitely won’t be the last!!!! We will be back!!! Captain Michael and Mate Marty were awesome.. We went out on an Afternoon trip and the captain put us on fish.. it was just my son and I and we came back with a load of sea bass… We threw back as many as we kept.. we caught a few flounder as well.. It was a great day!!!! The weather was great, the Captain an Mate were awesome.. We really enjoyed ourselves.. Looking forward to next time.. We highly recommend this Boat and Captain!!!! Our family had a great experience and excited to rebook another trip next year. Captain Michael knew exactly where to go find the fish and his crew was top knotch. Our boys had a blast and caught the most fish in any trip we have taken in years.
