Captain Jared was awesome! My wife and I had a great time fishing for walleye. The captain was very knowledgeable about where to go, and what to use, to target the fish that we were interested in catching. The boat was very comfortable and he had all of the fishing tackle we needed. Even though the bite was a little bit slow, we still caught a bunch of fish, including 4 walleye, a drumm, and a huge smallmouth bass. Part of the fun of the St. Lawrence is that you never know what you might hook into! We will definitely be coming back again for another trip with Captain Jared!

Had a great time with Captain Jared of J-Rod Charter. He was great host to my son and I. He was very attentive and helpful, taking care of all the rods, reels, and lures. We caught walleye, northern pike, and a rather big perch. Overall it was a very enjoyable day of fishing that my son and I will remember fondly.

We had an amazing experience with Capt. Jared! He was so nice and very accommodating! He is a very personable with a great sense of humor. His prices were spot on and he even offered to clean our fish! We are definitely booking a trip with him next year!

My wife and I made the drive from Alexandria Bay to Ogdensburg to go fishing with Jared over the weekend. Why would you make the drive, I’ll tell you. First of all Jared is a great host and guide. Friendly and knowledgeable about the baits, fish and the River. The other equally important reason is to escape the hustle and bustle that you often get in Alexandria bay. Had an awesome day out on the water! The boat and equipment were really clean and well-maintained. We were on the fish all day, getting tons of bites and pulled in some really nice sized walleye and smallmouth bass - we actually limited out with an hour to go. Capt Jared even cleaned our fish for us, making it super easy to take home. Definitely recommend J-Rod charters for anyone looking for a great fishing experience!
