Founded in 2012, Bluefin Sportfishing is the first official IGFA fishing club in the Middle East. The club provides professional fishing trips on Egypt's Red Sea Coast and aims to promote the sport of fishing in Egypt by organizing camps, fishing trips and tournaments. Their goal is to educate their customers about safe, responsible, ecological fishing at the same time as providing action packed and fun filled fishing trips.
Bluefin's boat was built locally specifically for game fishing in the Red Sea. At 30 ft long, it comfortably accommodates up to seven anglers and is fitted with plenty of seating and storage for you and your belongings. The deck is covered by a large shade canopy to protect you from the blazing sunshine, and onboard electronics including a GPS and fishfinder will help the able captains put you in exactly the right spot to catch a fish.
When you fish with Bluefin you will have the chance to try your hand at a variety of techniques, including trolling, jigging and perhaps also live bait bottom fishing. Hire the boat and the captain for half a day. Snacks, refreshments and fishing tackle are included. Depending on the season you could be fishing for species such as Barracuda, Yellowfin Tuna, Dogtooth Tuna, Giant Trevally and more.

My family and myself arrived by car. There was a parking for us waiting just at the spot that allowed easy unloading of our fishing gear and other staff. The owner Sherif and the Captain Ajmoud were very helpful and kind. the Captain is a real professional and beside enjoying fishing we had the opportunity to visit places around Hourghada ideal for snorkeling. he dapays to your needs and let you carch the big fishes when they bite. The fishing gear is up to date and in good condition. We can only recommend it and will certainly come back!

Everything was good, they arranged taxi from and back to our hotel for a small extra cost. We did jigging and trolling for 4 hours. Got served some soft drinks and snacks. Only drawback was that we didn't catch anything.

Our captain did a great job, however, we did not catch anything. I was concerned by the amount of garbage we saw in the water, also while trolling, the wobbler caught several times pieces of plastic bags. I hope the waters around Hurghada can be preserved and a sustainable fish stock be maintained.
