Lady May Charters 

We had an awesome time fishing aboard Lady May with Captain Anthony and his first mate. We booked the four-hour afternoon reef fishing charter, and communication both during the booking process and leading up to the charter was excellent. My 13-year-old son is neurodivergent (autistic), and having a calm, friendly, no-pressure environment made a huge difference in allowing him to relax and enjoy experiencing something completely new. This was his first time fishing. He actually came along with me not particularly interested in fishing but mostly humoring his dad because he knows how much I love the sport. By the end of the charter, he was telling me it was the highlight of our entire trip! Captain Anthony and his first mate were friendly, patient, and fantastic with him. They took the time to show him everything—from baiting and casting to getting a feel for a bite, knowing when to set the hook, reeling the fish in, and safely taking it off the hook. There was never any pressure or rushing. They simply let him learn and enjoy it at his own pace. And he definitely learned! He ended up catching 8+ fish on his very first fishing trip, including several different types of reef fish. With every fish, you could see his confidence and excitement growing. He absolutely loved it. The whole afternoon had a relaxed, authentic Cayman feel. We got to see how they prepared the freshly caught conch for bait, spent plenty of time actually fishing, and the crew worked hard to keep us on the fish. We had beautiful weather and incredible views from the boat, especially as the sun started going down. What I appreciated most was that this became about much more than catching fish. It turned into an incredible father-and-son experience and one of my favorite memories from our time in Grand Cayman. As a dad who loves fishing, seeing my son go from simply tagging along for me to genuinely loving the experience himself was pretty special. If you're visiting Grand Cayman and looking for a fun, laid-back reef fishing charter—especially if you're bringing kids, a first-time angler, or someone who might benefit from a patient and relaxed environment. I would absolutely recommend Lady May and Captain Anthony. Great crew, lots of fish, beautiful water, and some fantastic memories. Five stars from us. We’d absolutely do it again!

We spent a great day aboard Lady May with Nick and Cliff! Started early morning with fishing, caught lots of fish, mostly snappers, groupers. Nick helped kids, making sure each caught at least one:) Next was conch diving – it was our first time doing this, we saw lots of conch shells, but all we found ourselves was already empty. Luckily, Cliff got lots of live ones and later Nick prepared the best conch ceviche we’ve ever tried!! We then snorkeled at few spots on Coral Gardens and it was amazing - saw lots of fish, moray eel, barracudas, rays. Then stopped at Stingray City when it became less crowded. Finally went to starfish point before heading back to the marine. It was amazing day! Many thanks to Nick and Cliff for this incredible trip!!

Captain Nick and First Mate Marcus were awesome! Local guides who really know where ro catch fish. It was our childs first time out fishing and she was so happy for the help of the captain. We also went dove for Conch shells and the captain got in the water with us so we would know what we were looking for. We are so grateful for such a unique and local experience. We will absolutely be booking through them again next time we come to Grand Cayman!

Great half day afternoon reef fishing trip. Captain and first mate were outstanding. Easy to fish the reef. Caught enough for captain to make ceviche on the boat from smaller catch. Then prepared rest for us to take to restaurant to eat. Owner Anthony drove us from dock to restaurant to make sure we could eat on Christmas Day when a lot of places were closed. First class operation. Would use again without reservation.

Our seven-year-old twin boys had a great time on the Lady May with Marcus and his partner. Each boy caught several fish on his own and with the help of the crew. We kept several grunts and enjoyed fresh ceviche on the way back to shore. We would definitely charter the Lady May again for more adventures on the reef. Everyone had a great time.

My wife and teenage girls had an amazing time. The Captain and first mate JJ did a great job keeping our lines in the water, showing us the reef, and wrangling stingrays for us to hold and admire. I have a recommend and will be booking again when we return.

Anthony picked us up from our condo at no extra charge. Capt Nick and First Mate Sean were great. First we went snorkeling and they collected our limit of conch. Then reef fishing. we caught about a dozen fish of different species. Then Stingray City which was great. More excellent snorkeling and a stop at Starfish point. a great day on the sea.
