Wired Sportfishing 

We picked the windiest day of the year and still caught fish. We didn’t have a flexible schedule, so had to fight a very windy day. After an hour or so a few miles off shore, we decided that the conditions were not safe and returned closer to shore. We caught 6 decent Mackerel Tuna in 6 hours, including 2 at 1 time. Hopefully our next trip will have favorable weather and we can try for other species. Captain Hector and his first mate worked hard for us, made shashimi and provided cold beer and sandwiches. We highly recommend for an authentic Costa Rican fishing experience.

Thank you to the entire Wired team! They were waiting for us right on time and had a cooler stocked with water bottles, juice, beer, and snacks for us to enjoy. It was a truly memorable day in your company. The fishing was exceptional thanks to our captain’s experience—he knew exactly where the fish were. We caught several species! Outstanding service overall, with every fish cleaned and prepared by the crew directly on the boat. All that was left to do was bring it home and enjoy an unforgettable dinner! We signed up for a full day. we only caught one fish, but what a fish! It was a yellowfin tuna, and was my personal best. It took almost 2.5 hrs to get it on the boat and weighed right at 150 pounds! I would say this trip isbest booked for a person looking to catch large fish like yellowfin tuna,marlin, or sailfish.The crew was GREAT, very accommodating and worked hard.

Wow, what a trip! Gerard met us promptly at 7:30 in Tamarindo. We loaded up and we were out fiahing within 30-45 mins. Gear was top notch and he was great with my 13 yr old. Most importantly, they put us on the fish! My son had thr fight of his life and we landed a huge ~400lb. blue marlin (Gerard’s estimate….not my fishing story). What an unbelievable experience! Can’t thank them enough! If you’re in the area and want to catch fish, Wired is the outfitter to go with!

Gerard and captain Edgar were both great. It was easy to meet them at the beach and transfer to the boat. Gerard put out 8 different troll lines and 3 hours in we finally caught a big Mahi Mahi. He was very personable and had brought water, beer, juice, pop, chips, fruit, and sandwiches for us to enjoy. It was awesome to watch him filet the fish right in front of us! We kept part of it and cooked in our Airbnb for the next 3 days!

As experienced fisherman, it was great to simply be guests! Gerard and Edgar were great. Although the bite on the troll was slow, they put us on some great grouper and snapper. Very friendly and knowledgeable! Will be back!

The friendly crew had together 40+ hears of experince of fishing in Tamarindo and certainly knew how to fish the area. We caugth a 250 lb Marlin, and on the way back we did some bottom fishing and jigging. In an hour we had caugt a lot of smaller fishes but also some really nice one as well, for example a 120 lb grouper.

Wako set the first rod out and before he put the second one in we caught a really nice sailfish! That didn’t make any difference. They worked really hard changing baits and trying new areas until we caught 4 yellowfin and 2 giant mahi to go with it. They also provided great food and lots of drinks.

Gerard and Edgar are the greatest! very knowledgeable, personable and really good people, would recommend them any day!!!

During our six hour trip we only heard about one other boat tgat caught anything. Gerard and Coto kept working evennonmour return leg of the trip and we caught a big sailfish near the end. Very professional yet social crew.
