Make some memories in Chicago and go fishing with Massive Confusion Charters.

Species like Pink Salmon, Coho Salmon, Chinook Salmon, Lake Trout, Salmon, Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), and more inhabit these waters if conditions are right. On the day of your trip, you're likely to troll.

Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Feel free to bring your own snacks to maintain your energy throughout the trip!

You'll find yourself aboard a 38' Delta sportfishing vessel that can carry up to 14 passengers. It has downriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. What's more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, as well as lures.

You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 15–25% tip.

Before coming aboard, it will be necessary to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

It's always wise to bring sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well glass bottles. NO BEER BOTTLES OR ANY TYPE OF DRUGS ARE ALLOWED. Beer is welcome in cans only. Cigars and Cigarette smoking is allowed.

Clean boat, lots of fish, great time

We had a great time on our fishing trip! It wasn’t easy to get 12 people to Lake Michigan at 4:30 am, but after our great experience with Massive Confusion, we would be happy to do it again. Captain Bob and Ryan explained everything we needed to know to be safe and have fun on the boat. Some of us enjoyed the fresh breeze and the beautiful sunrise, and some of us relaxed inside the cabin. There was a booth with a table (and lots of drink holders), as well as a cushioned bench, and between those spaces and our coolers, everyone had a place to sit comfortably. We knew very little about fishing when we started, but Captain Bob and Ryan worked their expert magic to keep us reeling in fish for hours. If you are looking for an easy, seamless, and fun expedition charter, go book your dates--congratulations, you found it!

Amazing Morning of Fishing!

I want to personally thank the crew for everything this morning and say that this was an amazing fishing trip. We didn’t expect to catch so many fish but with the help of the knowledgeable crew we surpassed our expectations! I would highly recommend booking with them!

GREAT excursion for avid fisherman or first-time anglers

Captain Bob and Co-Captain Kyle were great. Very welcoming and accommodating. A great excursion for avid fisherman, first-time anglers or a combination of both. The only charter out of Chicago for large groups.

Our family had a great time with Captain Bob. We booked a 6 hour trip and it was great! We all had a great time and caught a lot of fish, had a lot of laughs with the crew and would love to book again.
