Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Black Drum, Redfish, Speckled Trout, Sheepshead, Flounder, Spanish Mackerel, and whatever else is biting. During the trip, you might be light tackle fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Trips with J&J Inshore Charters are kid-friendly, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favorites so that everyone stays happy and energized!
Your trip begins aboard a 20' Sundance bay boat that can carry up to 4 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
You can't go wrong when you bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Capt. Jacob was great! We caught a bit of everything, from multiple sting rays to trout, to flounder, to black drum, to sheepshead, and even a baby shark. Overall, great experience, a lot of laughs shared by all, and an absolutely beautiful day to be on the intercoastal!! Highly recommend if you’re in the area!
We had the BEST day out on the water with Captain Jacob! He was amazing with our 6-year-old son, Ray, and made the entire fishing experience so fun and memorable. Jacob was patient, kind, and full of knowledge—he knew just where to go and kept Ray smiling and reeling in fish all day. Ray was absolutely thrilled with every single catch, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide to help create such a special memory. Highly recommend Jacob if you’re looking for a great fishing charter, especially with kids. Five stars all the way!
Thank you for the great review! Ray was awesome! I am impressed with his ability to fight fish at such a young age. I take grown men who can't do near as well as Ray. Just warms my heart to see the outdoors getting passed on to the next generation and the passion already instilled in this little fellow. Great job in raising him right!
We lost track of how many fish we caught! Jacob was great, and the boat ride itself was a blast.
Capt Jacob was able to put us on some great fish. we caught flounder, red fish and sheepshead.
