I sent my husband and teenage son on this trip as a Birthday/ Fathers day gift for my husband. Its about 2 hours from where we live, but it was absolutely worth the effort. My husband praised the captain's professionalism, knowledge, and skill. He also said he was just generally a nice guy. Husband and son were thrilled to catch 5 beautiful, big lake trout, which were professionally cleaned by the captain and sent home on ice, so we could have a fresh fish dinner! There's nothing quite like spending a few hours on the lake with someone who clearly knows what theyre doing.

My wife and I dont get out on the water much, and we never go fishing. Steven made it easy! He got us out and they were biting. In four short hours we each caught our daily limit of trout BIG ONES! 5 each! Were gonna be eating trout all year! Steven even cleaned em up for us. all we gotta do is throw em in the freezer. My wife and I booked a charter on Cayuga Lake with Captain Steve and had an incredible experience. We were visiting for the week and wanted to target some of the local species—especially lake trout. Within minutes of dropping our first line, we were already catching fish! We’ve been on charters all over the country, and I would easily place Captain Steve in the top 5%. His knowledge of the lake and the fishery was outstanding, and he was attentive to every detail—right down to letting us choose between spinning or baitcasting gear. He’s patient, an excellent coach, and clearly passionate about what he does. The boat, an 18-foot Lund, was comfortable and perfectly suited for this style of fishing. From the very start, it was obvious how much Captain Steve loves his work, and that energy carried through the entire day. Highly recommended!

The fact that not a single fish was caught, but that I would book with Captain Steven should speak volumes of the positive experience that he provided. The weather was surprisingly miserable, windy and cold for the end of August, but Captain Steven still provided an amazing time; especially so with my 13yo son. He took the time to answer all of his questions (of which there were many) and really tried his best to make things happen, but it just wasn't our day. Regardless, I was thrilled at the lessons that he was able to provide to my son and we had a great time on the lake nonetheless. I HIGHLY recommend booking with him if you are looking to have a great experience on the lake.

Drove up from Kentucky to catch perch and lake trout. Lost count of the perch and caught a good size lake trout. All due to great guide services. I would and will be recommending to everyone I know. Steven was very knowledgeable, having 25 years of experience fishing the finger lakes. He taught technical fishing and tackle, how to target each species, and helped me understand the fish finder better ( I just bought my own and I’m learning it.) Boat was nice, clean and well stocked with tackle, water and soda if needed. Steven was welcoming, friendly and great guide and teacher. Book him for a great trip!
