Our day with Captain Steve was nothing short of amazing. We'll definitely be scheduling more trips with him in the future. The trip was a b-day gift for my 15 yr old grandson. Within 10 minutes of leaving the dock, we had the first one in the boat. Steve's expirence shines through in everything from gear prep, local lake knowledge, and professionalism. He took 3 novice fishermen and had us landing bass like we'd been doing it for years. When the bass stopped biting, we switched to catfish. A little slower, but instead of watching the clock, Steve was determined to get each of us on a big one before we left even if it meant staying out for an exta hour. My grandson, who is usually pretty low key, couldn't stop talking about the trip the fish, everything for the entire 2hr trip home.
My son and I had an unforgettable day fishing with Captain Steve. From the moment we stepped on the boat, everything was top-notch. Steve was incredibly knowledgeable about the water, the fish, and the best techniques—he shared tips that made the whole experience even better and kept things professional the entire time. We ended up catching over 60 fish that day! It was non-stop action, and my son couldn’t stop talking about how much fun he had. He was grinning from ear to ear the whole trip and is already asking when we can go out with Captain Steve again. If you’re looking for a great fishing charter—whether you’re a beginner, bringing kids, or just want a fantastic day on the water—I highly recommend booking with Steve. We caught tons of Sand Bass and a couple of good size catfish. The Captain was great with my 13 year old son and very informative. Also very helpful with tackle and wrangling. It was a very comfortable trip with general conversation and chit chat. We were a party of two, and father/son, so it was naturally more of a laid back and friendly atmosphere. Capn Steve was very personable. It was an excellent Father/Son excursion !!
We had an awesome time with Steve on this fishing trip! The service was outstanding from start to finish, and our guide was knowledgeable, patient, and made sure we stayed on fish all day. We caught plenty of fish, and the experience exceeded our expectations. The best part was watching my two kids, who had no fishing experience, leave the trip smiling, excited, and full of confidence. The guide took the time to teach them, encourage them, and made sure they both had an incredible experience. We made memories that will last a lifetime, and I can’t recommend this trip enough!
My family had a blast. My 8 yr old daughter’s first experience on a boat, Steve made it very fun and comfortable for her. He really brought the “fisherman” out of her! It was good conversation and relaxed fishing. I enjoyed just being able to relax on the boat. My son was able to reel some fish in also. Both kids caught in the double digits! They enjoyed it so much. He’s knows where to find them and catch them for sure! If you’re looking for a great guide to catch fish and want a good time I’d suggest booking with Steve.
