I've specialized in fishing cruise ship passengers coming to Ketchikan for over 18 years. You’ll enjoy a fully private fishing trip with your group of up to 6 people. Book a 6 hour charter and get 50% more time on the water for just a bit more money. (Not offered if booked through the cruise ship directly) The two extra hours can leave enough time to target both Salmon and Halibut and of course sightseeing.

The Mazie Grace is a proven Alaskan fishing machine. Named after my oldest daughter, the 31' Uniflite is a comfortable stable platform, ideal for fishing the calm or choppy waters of Alaska’s Inside Passage. The twin 385hp main inboard engines coupled with a 25hp autopilot equipped trolling motor provide fast travel and efficient fishing. The 11ft beam and low deadrise keep the MG stable while on anchor or trolling.
Its huge fishing deck offers tons of room for landing double, triple and even quad hookups of salmon, halibut and bottom fish. The comfortable, fully enclosed heated cabin is outfitted with a private stand-up head, commercial grade fishing electronics by Furuno, Garmin and Standard Horizon. All safety gear is fully functional and highly maintained

We had the absolute best fishing experience this week with Captain Ty and First Mate Mazie! This trip was just my 12-year-old son and me, and from the moment we stepped on the boat, they made us feel welcome, safe, and excited for the day ahead. Captain Ty and Mazie explained everything we needed to know, making it easy and fun to learn. Captain Ty was especially encouraging while my son was reeling in some big fish, making the experience one he’ll never forget. Their knowledge of the water was incredible—they consistently put us right on top of the fish, and the action never stopped. We caught so many fish and came home with 10 to take with us! If you’re looking for a fun, family-friendly charter with experienced guides who genuinely care about making your trip memorable, I can’t recommend this father-and-daughter duo enough. Thank you, Captain Ty and Mazie, for an unforgettable day on the water!
Ty and his first mate daughter: Mazie, were absolutely fantastic captains. After a quick taxi ride from our cruise ship we arrived to the marina where they had the boat ready for our arrival. Quick safety walkthrough and we were under way. Within 20 minutes we were fishing. It was an absolute beautiful day. Didn’t take very long for our first salmon to be on the line. Ty was very patient with our group and helped us navigate the art of landing those salmon in the boat. It was an action packed morning. We were able to keep 7 salmon and ship home. We actually had king salmon tags as well. While we caught 8 more king salmons; unfortunately they weren’t large enough to keep. It was a great morning and took us to the place to get our catch processed and shipped home. Would definitely book with Ty again.
Jeremiah and his group of sons and nephews were awesome. Although new to salmon fishing, these guys didnt miss many. Hauling in several keepers and many smaller ones with ease. The weather and water were pristine. Any downtime between bites was filled with stories and laughs. What a fun day of fishing! Thanks again.
My daughter and I just completed a fantastic day of fishing with Ty and his daughter and first mate Maisie. Ty was a great captain and put us on fish right away. You are literally fishing 5 minutes from the dock. We were hunting salmon straight from the get go. Overall very successful day 9 salmons landed and two keeper Kings on a double hookup! My daughter and I had a wonderful time fishing and have lifelong memories now we we’ll never forget, thanks Ty and Maisie. Would highly recommend Ty as your guide. Thanks Again
Guy and his daughter were a blast. Even with soggy weather, they powered thru to finish with quite a few hookups. A nice double header to finish up with. Thank you again!
Ty told us right off that the fishing had been a little slow, but he still put us on a bunch of fish within 20 minutes. We all caught fish and had a great time all 4 hours. Cannot recommend him enough. Boat had a ton of space and very comfortable as well. His daughter was the first mate, and she was also exceptional as well. Very helpful and made the trip even better. Book with this guy, you wont regret it.
Owen and his fiance were a great team. They hooked and reeled in fish right from the get go. Enjoyed good conversation and admiring the beauitful day with them. Thank you again
We went and out and after a short few short minutes we arrived to our fisrt spot to fish. We quickly began catching fish and within a couple of hours limited out on our halibut quota. We then trolled for a couple of hours and even though the bites and retained salmon was few, we were more than aware the captain Ty was doing everthing he could to get us into some fish. Captain Ty was friendly, he knew what he was doing and his daughter was just the same as him. We had six in our group on the boat and everone had a good time.
Super fun group of 3 father/sons. Great fishermen. Landed their limit of halibut easliy. King salmon weren’t cooperating much but persistence paid off and the group got a couple nice ones. All in all a fun afternoon with a lot of laughs and fish caught.
