Trouble Hook Charters is here to show you the stunning waters of the Walleye Capital of the world on Lake Erie. Captain Brent will be your guide, so you'll benefit from years of professional experience.
Depending on conditions, you might hook into Yellow Perch, Walleye, and whatever else takes the bait. During the trip you might be trolling, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! We have child-sized life vests on board. Don't forget to bring snacks so that everyone stays happy and energized! Please limit coolers to no more than (2) 14" size.
You'll be dropping lines from a 27' Sport-Craft with capacity for 6 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 15-20% tip.
You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, hard liquor is permitted but must be contained in a plastic bottle and must be mixed in a close-able cup.

Our party of 5 had a great day of fishing with Trouble Hook Charters! Captain Brent was knowledgeable, professional, and worked hard to put us on the fish. Thanks to his expertise, we were able to limit out on walleye and had an amazing experience on the water. The trip enjoyable for everyone in our group. Captain brent kept great company and within 10 minutes of putting the first rod in we were on fish and we were able to limit with plenty of time to spare and a lot of action. i would recommend him for any trip you wish to go on
Sent my husband and his buddy out with Captain Brent as a Father’s Day gift. He just got back and is happy as a clam. Caught Walleye and Perch and had a great day all around.
Captain Brent did an amazing job putting us on the fish. we caught our limit early and then we just fished catch and release. I highly recommend booking with him. I know my wife and plan too!!
My son and I wanted to take his son (my grandson) on his first fishing charter. We all had a blast! He caught the largest! Capt Brent was great with him,. I’ll say this, I’ve been on a lot of charters, and he was the hardest working captain I’ve , despite less than ideal conditions. He found the fish. I look forward to another trip with him.
